Current Resident: Poyen is a nice, quiet town. Our neighborhood is the type where kids can ride their bikes and scooters on the street. There are a few disadvantages, the first being that you have to drive for at least a half hour to go grocery shopping, get gas for your car, find a job or do any retail shopping. Also, a lot of people let their dogs run loose. There is zero nightlife or anything cultural, short of a high school football game in the fall. Niche User: Honestly, where I live right now is out in the middle of no where. I have 3 neighbors, one is family, one is a life long friend and the last we have never met or spoken to. I love the location because I like the isolation. I do not have to listen to vehicles or other noises of the city. I can go outside at night and look at the stars with my husband and son or drink coffee on the porch while it rains. Now on the other hand, say your vehicle breaks down, like mine did, then its a pain because no body lives out in the woods close to me. Current Resident: Prattsville, Arkansas is a town of less than 300 people. I have only lived here in Prattsville for about 4 years and I must say I love it. Everyone in this small town is so welcoming and it is the perfect place to raise our family. In this small town we have one corner store no stop lights or stop signs. It is easily missed when driving through. Everyone is a friend and you will rarely run into a stranger. Prattsville is such a warm and friendly place to call home. ... Read 2 reviews
