Niche User: Grand Isle is a very beautiful place to live. It is a huge tourist scene particularly in the summer where we get a lot of Canadian tourists. There are so many great things to do and places to see if you love to enjoy the outdoors. Grand Isle has so many beautiful bike routes. The lake is right there and makes for a breathtaking view while driving along the sand bar. There are many beaches to enjoy, some crowded, some secluded. Over the years you become acquainted with the migration patterns of the geese and the monarchs. The wildlife here is incredible and so enchanting. The sunsets are extraordinary and make for some really exquisite photos when taken across an open field. On the lake, people are always boating, tubing, water skiing, swimming, parasailing, fishing, and so much more. It's a wonderful place to live if you love to revel in the beauty of the outdoors. I haven't traveled the U.S. that much so I can't compare it to other places but I can say that I would much rather live here than in a huge city that's so crowded and polluted. I believe in the next couple of years the value of lake-front property is going to go up (and subsequently be bought up by families who can afford the higher property taxes). Grand Isle will most likely become more populated over the years, however, I do not expect any drastic changes in population. The people who can afford to live her will mostly have summer houses here.
