Town in Indiana
Current Resident: Very nice, quiet small town to live in. The people are friendly and helpful. Crime rate is low with almost no major crimes occurring regularly. Top notch school system with teachers who care about their students. Although there isn't a major shopping mall there are several different locations to shop for just about everything you would need on a daily basis. There are several major shopping areas that are within an hour or so of here tho for anything else you may require. Rochester is about an hour away from Notre Dame if that's your team for college football. Colts football in Indianaplois is 2 hours south. Kokomo and Fort Wayne are nearby. Rochester is centrally located. Don't like the hustle and bustle of the big city? Rochester is a good place to call your home. There are the normal fast food places to eat and a couple nicer sit down restaurants, plenty of gas stations to choose from and some mom and pop locations if you like to support local businesses.... Current Resident: My family just moved here and we absolutely love it. Very safe and quiet town with friendly neighbors. A lot of people here work in manufacturing or agriculture and commute to Rochester or Warsaw. Affordable housing and utilities, too. Some homes and lawns are in disrepair, but others are really well-kept. Akron has a few little parks, and a lot of families with kids live here. Overall: small town charm and simpler living.... Parent: As the parent of two children in the lower school, I am extremely pleased with SSSAS. The Early Saints teachers make each day engaging for my 3-year-old. The monthly units the ES learn have prompted my son to apply what he’s learned to the world around him (the food unit they completed prompts a nightly discussion about which foods on his plate are muscle foods, brain foods, etc.). His teachers started a recent parent conference with 3 very specific adjectives to describe my son and given the examples they gave me, it is clear that really understand him as a whole child. My experiences with JK and K were also nothing short of fantastic; even during the pandemic the teachers were able to connect with my son. The K and 1st grade teachers have also provided my son a solid educational foundation; they have identified his strengths and given additional challenging work so that he hasn’t been bored. Any issues I’ve had have been quickly and appropriately addressed by his teachers.... Read 133 reviews

Parent: We are a new family coming into the school & will most likely have more to say in the future, but our experience w/the admissions & leadership team deserves a review now. We are thrilled & feel like this is a very good fit for us- values, education & community-wise. From the very first moment I heard leadership and staff announce their pronouns, to throughout the many open houses, I feel like we were seen & belong. Both Shamika & Ashaki were phenomenal throughout the admissions process. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, kindness & professionalism were top notch. They both spent time really getting to know us, and contributed to a feeling that no matter what happened, we had a fairest opportunity in the process. Further, to have received an invite right away for my daughter to join a cooking class for new middle schoolers this week blew my mind- we are months away from start & they would be forgiven for taking a break before jumping into welcoming activities! Thank U SSFS!... Read 76 reviews

Parent: There are so many aspects of Bullis that we love and it is hard to fit them all in one review! We have 3 children at the school who are very different learners, different personalities and different interests. Yet each is thriving at Bullis and the teachers meet each of their needs. We love that school is joyful and fun. Our kids WANT to go to school and have fun learning. They get a great balance of academics, arts, athletics, STEM, etc. It is a nice community of parents and friends who watch out for each other and help each other. And there is a strong value to diversity in race, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic status, style of learning, etc. It is a very special place!... Read 131 reviews
