Willsboro Niche User: During the winter Willsboro is pretty quiet, as there is not many people. There is still a lot to do, for example snowshoeing, ice fishing, cross country, or downhill skiing. During the summer time summer residents visit Willsboro point. This beautiful bay has great fishing for Atlantic salmon, trout, northern pike and other fish. Willsboro is also located about five minutes away from Rattlesnake Mountain. Rattlesnake is a very short hike within pristine views of Willsboro and Lake Champlain. If you're not a nature fanatic you can take a short ferry ride to Vermont for a day-trip to go shopping, make a Vermont Teddy Bear or binge eat Ben and Jerry's. Another short trip is to the Olympic Village of Lake Placid; Home of the 1980 Winter Olympics. Olympic games, food, shopping and the chance of seeing several Olympic athletes in Lake Placid is quite an experience for the whole family.
