Elmwood Strip #9 Best Places to Live in Erie County
Current Resident: Elmwood "Strip" is an outdated description for this area of Buffalo. Its referred to as the "Elmwood Village" area of Buffalo for most. The "E.V" or Elmwood Village, is an urban neighborhood, but feels like a village because of a high walk score, charming architecture, Olmsted Parkways green spaces, and beautiful, mature trees lining the intersecting residential streets. The "strip" action includes pubs, restaurants, boutiques & small business speciality shops, to student-oriented pizza parlors and bars. The Lexington Co-Op is a local grocery store with a whole foods vibe, and front patio area for eating and people watching. The Spot Coffee Shop and several other coffee shops offer the same for sipping and people peeping. Speaking of people, its one of the most diverse areas for ethnicities, artists, scholars, professional families, bohemians, athletes and students. Its just as likely that to see athletes on a morning run, as a funky-looking dude with rainbow colored dreads. Read 3 Reviews
