Kelso Town in Washington 40 reviews
Current Resident: Kelso/Longview is a lovely area. You'll see some poverty issues from poor multigenerational families that refuse to leave due to having roots in the area. Gentrification is happening, and the area is going through the shuffle. A sad byproduct of the process when those getting edged out refuse to find anywhere else to go. (It is a beautiful area, can't blame them). For people looking to escape the city, and want bargain property this area is a haven and a real estate gold rush. The key is money. If you have it, you'll be happy. Golf courses, beaches, hiking, fishing and more. The area has mild winters and summers. This means a good amount of rain and fog but less snow. For shopping there is everything one could want or need locally, but both Seattle and Portland are within easy driving distances. The train station can get you to either city, if driving is not for you. Easy drive to the coast, without the tsunami risks or the outrageous property prices... for now ;) Read 40 Reviews
