Current Resident: I been here all my life nothing really it's home to me. All my friends are here alone of my family. I went to school here played sports here a few of my kids are here. It's a quiet town not much crime. There aren't many things that could get you in trouble. Current Resident: Leighton has been my home for 19 years of my life. I was born and raised in Leighton AL roots. This small bold community is the perfect place to raise a family. Downtown Leighton is full of culture, tradition, and is home to many famous college football players such as Auburn football alumni QB Phil Gargis. The nearby high school Colbert County High school is home to the famous Pride of the Tribe marching band and Indians football team. In downtown Leighton you can find good ole hometown cooking at local restaurants, soul music playing from local shops, strong aromas from the flower shop, and even a dollar general for last minute needs when dropping off children to school.
