Current Resident: I recently moved to Norwich, NY from Southern California, and let me say I love this little town. The downtown area is a little lack luster, but with a few new murals it would be lovely. The town offers many events such as Chobani in the Park, while still keeping it safe during these pandemic-times, by requiring masks and social distancing. Norwich is a wonderful town with lots to discover, and I look forward to the years I will spend here, and it's also not too far from major cities such as Syracuse and Albany.... Read 18 reviews

Current Resident: I have lived in Bainbridge, in the same spot, my whole life! Although there is not much to do around here, it is my home. I would not want to be anywhere else! As a community, we all help out and keep in touch in groups through social media. How could it get any better than that? The community says a lot about a place, and it is welcoming here! Current Resident: Nice little community with friendly people. Lots of activities for all ages from the young to the old. My favorite is they open the park to free breakfast and lunch for any children during the month of Aug. No child should have to go hungry event. The town works with the public school to make this happen. Always going all out with the tree lighting in December as well.... Read 3 reviews

Current Resident: Sherburne is a very small, quaint village in central/upstate New York with a population of roughly 1500 people. It's surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and country. If you're a city person who enjoys a bustling environment with a night life and shopping, this is not for you. The closest shopping mall or commercial airport is an hour away. There is only one bar in Sherburne and it's very "country"/good ole boys. But if you enjoy simple living and a quiet town, you'll enjoy Sherburne. It's very safe, I often walk side streets late at night for exercise. There is minimal traffic, except on the main route running through the middle of town (route 12) where there is some through traffic. There are not many jobs here unless you work for the school or the telephone company, which has a plant center here (Frontier Communications). The school is one of the best in New York State.... Current Resident: I moved here several years ago and love the peaceful serenity it offers. Beautiful landscape and mixture of farmland, forest and meadows. Lots of wildlife and nature to enjoy- beautiful! Winters are cold and snowy. As for activities and nightlife, it depends on what you are looking for- star filled night skies and a bonfire with friends yes, a night out on the town, bars, dancing, restaurants then you have to go out of town for that- if that’s your interest. German is a small quiet town with many families that have been here for generations. Lots of old school ways out here. Children typically help on the farm, have chores to be done and also enjoy the freedom of fishing, hiking, hunting, recreational vehicles and country living. We have 6 seasons out here; winter, spring, mud season, summer, fall, mud season. Mud season is not always in that order but it is always part of the seasons.... Read 2 reviews
