Former Resident: Brownwood is an excellent small town located in a beautiful part of Texas. It has easy access to DFW, SA, ATX and the Hill Country. The people are warm and friendly and the city has all the services of a city twice its size. The schools are good and the teachers care about their students. It's big enough to have everything you need but small enough to remain charming. The downtown area is being revitalized and once done, will be a place to come check out.... Read 58 reviews

Current Resident: I love that it is small and everyone knows everyone. Because of this everyone looks out for each other. However, because it is so small there is not much going on in the town and you have to drive the 15 minutes to Brownwood for entertainment, food, and shopping purposes.... Read 9 reviews
