Senior: Don Bosco has been the school that really brought me into reality. I started my first day as a freshman not knowing anything but going in with confidence. When I met the faculty I told them exactly that they would know my name by heart because I was going to make an impact. Don Bosco had brought the leadership characteristics out of me whether it be academically or through extra-curricular. With rigorous courses and highly developed and trained faculty and staff, they provided courses for me that allowed me to learn and apply it to my life. They ensure their students are also prepared for the real world, having an amazing corporate work study program within the curriculum. Parent: Commonwealth Academy is above and beyond what anyone could possibly imagine for their child. We needed to find a small, specialized school so that our daughter could thrive and succeed. It was a thrill to find such an inclusive atmosphere filled with dedicated administrators and teachers. My daughter has an anxiety disorder and OCD. Every single teacher CARES. The combination of education, creativity and fun that they have created is unmatched. The classrooms are small and kids with every learning difference are treated with respect and patience. Without the chaos and fear of a big school, our daughter got past the nerves that held her back and learned to speak to adults and advocate for herself. She had warm and nurturing advisors who saw her potential and appreciated her strengths - they gave her CONFIDENCE. Parent: There are so many aspects of Bullis that we love and it is hard to fit them all in one review! We have 3 children at the school who are very different learners, different personalities and different interests. Yet each is thriving at Bullis and the teachers meet each of their needs. We love that school is joyful and fun. Our kids WANT to go to school and have fun learning. They get a great balance of academics, arts, athletics, STEM, etc. It is a nice community of parents and friends who watch out for each other and help each other.
