Current Resident: I have lived in Norton with my family for almost 1.5 years, and it's a great family setting! The pros are that it's good for raising a family, big lots/homes for the money, decent school system, many activities through the MOMs Club, a local giving economy (Buy Nothing), local can-do spirit, some decent local businesses, and some great outdoor spaces! The schools embrace technology and new ways of doing things.
Now, don't move to Norton thinking that it's like a large, walkable suburb. Truth is, I really want for Norton to be more walkable/bikeable, and there are plans for a Rail Trail in 2020 and more sidewalks. I definitely think Norton is an attractive town for young families who can't afford super pricey suburbs but still want to live in proximity to highways and cities (Boston and Providence), as well as being in a place with decent schools and good homes for the money....
