Current Resident: Shelbyville is a very nice town to live in. It's quiet. Our neighbors are nice. The city manager is awesome. If you have an issue they are on it that day or the next day. You can't junk up your yard with trash or leave your trash can at the street. They will leave a friendly notice on your door, after that they will collect your can if it's still at the end of the street. You will need to call the city to get your trash can back. Ask a neighbor to bring it for you. They will. Utilities are cheap & your trash is figured into your low monthly water & electric, all in one bill. We had some low hanging wires over our driveway. I called public works and they got those wires up higher. There's been no crime here that I'm aware of. Those website are trying to sell you a report. I live in the dark blue zone. Ask anyone, they don't give out tickets. Judge Bobo is the nicest guy!! Lots of rehabbing here as well. The water tastes better & the air is cleaner. That's why people commute from here.... Current Resident: I grew up in Bell Buckle TN, I love it here because it's close knit community. Everyone knows everyone and everyone is always willing to help you if you need it. Bell Buckle is rich in history especially when it comes to Tennessee Walking Horses. Our neighboring town of Shelbyville, about ten minutes away, is the walking horse capital of the world. Bell Buckle hosts the annual RC Cola Moon Pie festival every year as well as the Bell Buckle craft fair. Those are great sources of revenue for the town and bring in over a hundred thousand people apiece every year. Bell Buckle is a great place to raise a family. You can float down Duck river on a hot summer day, or go fishing in Normandy lake. Or simply take a cruise down all the country roads. Current Resident: Unionville is a great small town. There isn't much here but a Dollar General store. However, it is about 20-30 minutes away from a lot of larger towns, such as Murfreesboro, Shelbyville, Franklin, Chapel Hill, and Eagleville. There is one high school in Unionville, but there are others in neighboring towns. There is little to no traffic for the most part. Most of the people are kind and welcoming. There is a several new subdivisions with yards, great for families and pets. There are few job opportunities, but many jobs can be found in the neighboring cities. With the small commute time, you can have your quint country home, with a lovely job in the city (big or small depending on which city you choose).... Read 10 reviews
