Former Resident: Its a very pretty town. Very nice people. A lot of history and great museums in the area. There is a nice lake for boating, fishing and camping. Great hiking in the area. Its a hometown feel with events in the downtown area. Fourth of July events and parade as well as the annual Christmas parade. Friday night football the whole town gets into. Local hangouts with fine dining as well as historic favorite mom and pop restaurants to enjoy. The schools in the area are top notch. There are private schools as well as public schools with rich history. It is a safe community and family oriented. The real estate market is robust and affordable. The nightlife has something for everyone. Local concerts in the town square in the summertime as well as local great watering holes. There are many job opportunities in the area as well as a short commute North or South on Interstate 75. You have the carpet industry to the North of Cartersville and Atlanta to the South.... Current Resident: Great small town feel. Only a few miles from Cartersville and downtown Acworth. Emerson has a new sporting complex called Lakepoint. There's many different sports you can be involved in. Lakepoint sporting complex offers volleyball with plenty of nets for everyone. They also have different ball fields for baseball as well as scorer. Lets not forget about the indoor basketball court. If you and your family enjoying playing sports, then Lakepoint sporting complex in Emerson Georgia is a great place to visit or live. There's so much more to do at the Lakepoint complex. They have a place called Lakepoint station. It is a great place to take the whole family. They offer indoor rock climbing, arcade games, mini golf, laser tag and so much more. They have a wonderful restaurant inside call Saint Angelo's Pizza. It's wonderful pizza! Emerson is a small town. The people are friendly and welcoming. Current Resident: My overall experience in Kingston, GA has been a pleasant experience. We get a good portion of snow in the winter so the scenery is beautiful. It is quiet. Current Resident: Taylorsville area of Bartow County is the perfect example of country living. Farms around every corner. Neighbors are friendly. Although the closet serious shopping is 11 miles away is Rockmart or Carterville there is a convenience store and a great farm supply at store. There is also also good pizza place in the little town of Taylorsville. The schools are part of the bartow county schools. TAYLORSVILLE ELEMENTARY is highly rated. Love the sense of community....
