Linwood#1 Best Places to Live in Atlantic County
Current Resident: It definitely is an upper class environment. People tend to keep to themselves. If you have kids and are involved in their school activities you can meet people and socialize, but if not, it’s hard to get to know anyone. I have lived here about 3 years and it’s safe, the views over the bay are beautiful and it’s very peaceful, but it’s boring, the main roads have horrible traffic at times and although it’s close to everything in miles there’s no easy way to get anywhere. Also, the bugs during the summer are the worst I’ve ever encountered and I’ve lived in Ventnor, Brigantine, Florida and Nicaragua. Nobody seems to complain about them but me. I guess they don’t bite the rich people!...

Northfield#3 Best Places to Live in Atlantic County
Current Resident: Northfield is a small community which makes connecting and getting to know others very easy. It is very family oriented, has a excellent school system, a bike path, it is 10 minutes from the beach, and has many restaurants. People who live here, tend not to move because they enjoy it so much! One thing I would like to change is the cost of living. Property taxes are outrageous, and many houses are over priced!...

Margate City#4 Best Places to Live in Atlantic County
Current Resident: Margate City in New Jersey is one of the most diverse playgrounds: appeasing both to families and young adults. The various night life activities range from dancing at Memories to eating bayside at Lamberti's. The beach is always clean and well groomed, there are lifeguards every 100 feet, and the beach-goers are pleasant. This city is very safe because of the consistent patrolling of police officers. The beach is watched all night, though teenagers come and go, getting in all types of childhood fun. The uniqueness of the food is unmatched. South End Pizza has the best pizza I have ever tasted; the bacon, lettuce, chicken, and ranch pizza is enlightening. Two Cent Plain is the most flavorful ice cream I have ever tasted. It is blows every ice cream place out of the water. It has so many types of ice cream; my favorite is their banana. There are always people out, day and night, and most are very sociable. There is an electricity in the air, a certain shore vibe not many places have...

Current Resident: Growing up in Ventnor is like living a permanent vacation. You are a walk to the beach, boardwalk, city life or seclusion and a car, train, or bus ride to a great many glorious destinations. Summers are phenomenal and the possibilities of fun are endless and watching the seasons change over the sandy beach is always truly breath taking. Ventnor is a great HUB if you enjoy bigger cities but prefer to live more peacefully while still enjoying every modern comfort and convenience and I could not imagine living anywhere else...

Egg Harbor City
Current Resident: Egg Harbor City is a small city but the size makes it a lot easier to feel apart of a community. It has good schools, is a pretty safe neighborhood, and has parks for children to play at. There are a few things the city could do better with though, like having more activities for the community and keeping a better eye on the prison near one of the elementary schools. Overall, it's a very nice city that I'm proud to live in...

Current Resident: In 2018. My family moved to Atlantic city. At first, I felt bored and I found that this is the most boring city I have visited. I had nothing to pursue my career. I have no language, no relatives, and no knowledge to work for any companies. However, after one year, Atlantic city brought me a lot of opportunities to join. I could study to earn my knowledge without tuition. I could get some part time job to cover my expenses, and I could improve my English for free. I could see all opportunities for my future at this place. To sum up, Atlantic city made my dream come true during the challenging time. Thank you the city I have immigrated...

Niche User: There's a local police man patrolling the roads of the town. One chilly October night, a bleeding drunk man was clawing at my front and back entrance door because he thought he was at his house. I called 911 and the police were reassuring and prompt in their arrival. My house is now installed with a safety alarm, but that was the only incidence of jeopardized safety I experienced. I have heard rumors of elderly getting robbed...

Current Resident: Galloway Township is a lovely place to live. It is nestled between the Pine Barrens and the Jersey Shore, boasts friendly suburbs and farming communities, and - in spite of being NJ's largest geographic municipality - maintains the charm of a small town. Overall, both the K-8 and high school districts are up to par with NJ's quality public schools. Still, I would say the town is lacking in diversity and, until a fairly recent redistricting, the schools felt fairly segregated. I believe there is still a lot of room for progress in that sense. The town gov't has also been wrapped up in drama lately. Many main roads have recently been redone. The police somehow drive literal Camaros, so I wonder how that money was allocated in the budget. During certain times of the month their patrol can be pretty brutal. Generally, Galloway is a calm and enjoyable place to live, but I believe the town has some untapped potential for growth that the local gov't needs to address...

Visitor: Small town, quaint and simple to navigate. Good restaurants if you look few and far between the chain restaurants and fast food. A few hidden gems; for instance, Nino's Pastry Shop on quakerbridge road is a small business, (bakery) but by no means are they small in what they bring to the table. I mean, the quality is impeccable and even if you don't have much of a sweet-tooth, the young ladies in there are so polite and helpful, it's worth the trip just to see their smiles. I really enjoy this town, and when my fiancé is home from school, I always visit her at her home (Hamilton Township,) simply because there is a lot to do in this not so well-known place. Appreciate the small towns, they're sometimes surprising. Also, the location is central. You're about thirty minutes from Philadelphia, and an hour from New York City via the train. The town has two nearby train stations, both of which work well and efficiently. Big fan of this area...
