Current Resident: I love living in Blaine, it's beautiful, had a lot of great shopping places (could use a jcpenny and sbarro, lol). Most people are friendly here. The community gets involved in helping ppl who are struggling. Like elderly communities getting weekly deliveries of food, etc. The trails could use some love but are generally pretty good. I find the roads are quickly cleared from snow as well in winter. The job market is improving as companies in the area are increasing pay rates for the cost of living. Only small complaint, when I was at work there were 2 instances of a person coming in to use the bathroom and did crack in it. 2x's! In less than a few months. 1 we were afraid does in the bathroom but we kept checking on him every 10 minutes (family bathroom locked) after an hour we told him we were going to call ems. Just sad. The lakes and scenery around the area are unforgettable. There's not much trash or littering, gas is usually low, and people are friendly. Current Resident: Not much diversity, but it is definitely getting more built-up than it used to be. I would love it if there were more food opinions that were from other cultures. Andover is more convenient than it used to be, there are more grocery stores and gas stations. If you want good produce, festival and Walmart is the place to go. Country market does have some reasonable prices, but their produce usually spoils quickly. There are more American-Chinese restaurants, but I would definitely be excited for a lot more, maybe Indian. One suggestion I have is that the city puts a path in front of Walmart, so bikers don't have to be on the road, that would help with safety. Andover has many fun bike trails throughout the town. That is an awesome activity in spring and fall, just remember to bring your bike lock if you decide to stop anywhere to shop or get yourself a coffee.... Read 83 reviews

Current Resident: I love raising my children in Ham Lake. The elementary school where my children go is wonderful. Full of amazing teachers! We are able to snowmobile, 4 wheel and drive side by sides in our community. I feel safe enough to let my children ride their bikes to their friend's house's. Our taxes are low and our city officials work to keep it that way. We have kept big box stores out which keeps our city much less busy. Current Resident: Centerville is a great place to visit and to live. I moved to Centerville 2 years ago, and I have enjoyed every minute! Centerville has a growing community with many young families. Centerville Lake is a central location for many events, including music and festivals. Many days in the summer are filled with fun activities for the family to enjoy. My personal favorite is the city garage sale. To make things better, the city has two churches which are The Church of St. Genevieve and Eagle Brooke Church. These churches allow for a tight-knit community. Along with this, there are many local shops and restaurants for the family to enjoy. Anoka is the Halloween Captial of the world which brings so much spirit to the streets and local businesses! Current Resident: East Bethel is a great town with regards to safety-- as far as I know, we (as a community) haven't had any major crimes committed or anything like that here. I personally love the spacing, housing-wise, because it isn't the kind of place where your house is 10 feet (exaggeration, I know) apart from your neighbor's. There are actual yards here. Acreage. It isn't even close to somewhere you could compare to a major, well-known city, such as Minneapolis. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the fact that we don't have any retail stores within close proximity. It's not very convenient if you only need to run to the grocery store for a couple things & be back in 10 minutes. That is the sacrifice you have to make though if you don't want to be living right next to major developments. Can't complain too much!... Read 16 reviews
