My child could not have been more different and unique in his interests as our whole family. We have always found our way in this wonderful community and have built lasting relationships. Current Resident: Excellent school district. Very safe area with plenty of parks near by such as Mercer County. Access to all major highways are right here so the ease of commute is nice. Nightlife here stinks as there is only one restaurant/bar you can go to in town center. Current Resident: Green Brook township is a beautiful, calm, and community based town. We have a great police and firefighter force who are always attentive to the people living here. We have community events such as the Green Brook tree lighting during Christmas where carolers come to sing and give out presents to the children. Our schools are great as they are close to home and provide the children with quality education. I have found that while living here everyone is very friendly and always ready to spark a conversation. When I go walk my dog around the neighborhood I find myself getting into conversations with others and people smiling at me. We have a great elementary school that has baseball fields right next to it. Many baseball events are held here during the summer until late at night but still the events are noisy enough to cause annoyance to people in town. Current Resident: I love love love living in Kendall Park! I've been living here since I was in Kindergarten, and I'm currently a Freshman at the local South Brunswick High School. It's safe to say the schooling is great! The community is also very safe, as there are police during most public events and protecting the schools. The homes are affordable and in great neighborhoods. It's been so much fun living here! There are so many stores nearby, and a ShopRite even recently came to the South Brunswick/Kendall Park area! Current Resident: Montgomery Township is easily one of my favorite places to live. The community is diverse, vibrant, and engaged. Residents are truly made to feel like they are part of a Montgomery community and a large family through municipal events, the school system, and every individual neighborhood. The only potential drawback would be in the school system. It is incredibly harsh with grading policies, and does not offer as many opportunities in comparison to many neighboring schools. The rankings have also slipped in the last few years. However, these mainly apply to the upper schools. That being said, Montgomery is an excellent place to live and I would truly recommend it to anyone, but particularly younger families with smaller children. Current Resident: Haworth is an absolutely gorgeous and underrated community. The Haworth Public School is excellent with small class sizes and committed teachers, administrators and parents. The town has a lot of character with a quaint downtown, beautiful and unique homes, duck pond, walking trail by the reservoir and two country clubs. Every street is tree-lined. The library is amazing with a separate wing for kids and dynamic programming. There’s a 5K race, Spring Garage Sale, streets are closed for Halloween (it’s quite a celebration), and many events and things to do throughout the year. The atmosphere is great, not a whole lot of crime. I think I once saw a review somewhere that said the area is 25% lower in crime than the surrounding area.
