Former Resident: Jamestown is a beautiful town to live in it's quit and nice. What I also like about it, is it's close to shopping centers, the town also have nice park to go for a walk or a picnic. Jamestown also has it's own elementary school for kids and for most people that live close to it, they can walk there kids to school. They also have a middle school and a high school so children get to grow up with the same people they live in the same town with or been attending school with. I have lived in Jamestown for almost 6 years and I love it. My family also do because it's a small town and it's close to schools, parks, shopping centers, and entertaining activity. Jamestown also have amazing restaurant and cafe's and bakeries. One of the restaurant that's my favorite is Southern Roots they sale amazing foods and drinks. Current Resident: SW resident here..we LOVE our area. We moved into SW almost 2 years ago & couldn’t be happier. We came from New England & while we were looking for a home here in CLT..we found a home in SW that had amazing bones but needed some cosmetic work. We were able to fix up our home & now we have so much equity in our house. SW is an amazing community, the neighbors are so kind, we have greenway access & it’s so close to EVERYTHING. If you want to go to South Park is about 10 mins, Matthew’s is about 5 mins, uptown in about 20 mins. Also, SW is in this transitional phase where older folks are moving away or passing away (horrible I know!) but new couples & families come in & are re-doing their homes & putting value into this community, which we love. It’s a gem in CLT because you can still get into the community affordability but we’ll see how much longer the affordability will last because more people want to be in South CLT & our community is an amazing link between CLT and Matthew’s.... Current Resident: For the first nine years of my life, I lived in Chicago. When I first moved to North Carolina, it was a very intense culture shock. I always thought it was funny when strangers would randomly smile and wave at me rather than look away. As the years passed and I adapted to my new home, I started to adore everything about it. I loved how our small downtown was vibrant and filled with restaurants and small businesses. I started to wake up every Saturday morning to volunteer and shop at the local farmer's market. Sometimes after work, I would walk to the library and read outside by the nature trail. I love how close-knitted our community was. I feel like a lot of change is happening right now at Holly Springs like construction, new roads, and housing. Although this new development is exciting, it's pushing lots of original residents outside the area due to financial instability. Greenville has also provided me with great experiences and community outreach programs, such as Pitt Greenville Soccer Association (PGSA) and the local Food Bank. Although Greenville has treated me great for the past 17 years, I would love to see changes to the local hospital; ECU Health. Our kids tend to go to school with the same kids from elementary to high school yet with a major army isntallation within 45 minutes of our town, we have the diversity every town needs within a short drive.
