Current Resident: I’ve lived in Cinco Ranch for the past 5 years and it’s honestly beautiful. It’s perfect for someone that likes nature but also civilization. Current Resident: I always tell people The Woodlands is not an exciting place to live, but it is a nice place to live. When people from the greater Houston area hear "The Woodlands," they think of The Woodlands Mall. This is the most popular part of town, and it is conveniently located close to the freeway. The adjacent Market Street is an upscale shopping center that looks prettiest at night. Newcomers always point out the excess greenery and ask how we locals can find anything, but I have no problem with all the trees because the town is so well-organized. There are several zoning laws that ensure business and residential areas are clearly separated. There are plenty of franchise restaurants along the town's major streets. There are local churches and well-maintained parks hidden in every neighborhood. A common complaint is that residential streets do not have sidewalks. My least favorite part about TW is that it is a comedy desert. The closest comedy club is a 35-minute drive from the edge of town.... Read 505 reviews

Current Resident: Richardson is a great place to live, and Arapaho exemplifies that wonderfully. There are many great local restaurants, coffee shops, and other businesses. The parks are nice for playing with children, walking dogs, having a picnic, or just relaxing. Arapaho has many families, but also people older and younger. It is a nice place to walk around, and the neighborhood schools are nice. The proximity to the city is great!... Read 4 reviews

Parent: ECA has the best staff and administrators! The moment you walk in, it is evident that this is a caring place, greeted with friendly smiles and welcoming attitude. It is a small close community, that provides a well-rounded education; addressing academics as well as emotional, spiritual, physical well-being of the children. Our two children have been there for a year, and are flourishing! They offer art, music, PE, tech and Spanish as part of the curriculum. When I talk to the teachers they say , 'This is the best place to work' - the teachers feel supported and their happiness is reflected in the classroom.... Read 20 reviews

Current Resident: Living in Southlake is very nice and is the epitome of the basic upper middle class and higher class suburban. I like the town's diversity and acceptance of others. There is a lot to do including many shopping centers, restaurants, and town events. There is a lot of town spirit and support for schools and sports teams. I like that the whole town comes out for Friday night lights and high school football even if you don't know anyone playing you are there to cheer on the Dragons. Another great thing about Southlake is the cleanliness and attention to detail on every holiday. The whole city decorates and lights up during the holiday season and is very celebratory of all holidays including Christmas, Hanuka, and Holi Festival. One thing I would like to see improved is the overall kindness of the town and law enforcement. Law enforcement is rarely available. I would also like to see a change in the elementary schools as the public school system is overcrowded with the number of students.... Read 115 reviews

Niche User: The general atmosphere of this area is friendly, safe, and busy. The community is close, the policemen and firemen are always available and easily accessible, there tons of small businesses coming and going. If I could choose to live here again I would. However, my only complaint is that the area's ethnic and political diversity is very small. A good portion of the are is white and conservative. I believe that an are should consist of an equal mix of conservatives and liberals. With the area being in Texas, the area's current ethnic and political statistics are not of any surprise. With that said, compared to everywhere else in the country, I personally feel that this area is definitely one of the best places for people who want to be involved in a tight knit community and want to live in a small town with a touch of the big city.... Current Resident: I have lived in N. Texas for almost two decades and five of those years have been in Coppell. Coppell is a very diverse, forward thinking, safe and comfortable town in the middle of the DFW metroplex. Because of its location, we are close to major airports, sporting events, concerts, lakes, and fantastic cultural venues/events. Our parks in Coppell are very well maintained with several miles of great walking/biking paths. The City of Coppell does a fantastic job of providing excellent customer service, hospitality, and amenities to the citizens. I echo many of comments here about the school district...it is excellent! If you are looking for a place to call home with an engaging community that is ideal for raising a family...look no further, Coppell, Texas is the right place!... Read 227 reviews

Current Resident: Frisco, Texas has been a home to me since I was three years old. As an American-Muslim, and Pakistani-American, it has always been hard to find people who are of the same religion and ethnicity as me. When my family and I came to Frisco we were able to find a welcoming Muslim community from which we could find friends and learn. The South Asian community is also large, and because of this, my family has been able to create life long friendships with these families. Frisco has nice schools as well, and acts as an overall safe environment to raise a family. If you are looking for diversity and a fruitful city to live in, I suggest Frisco, Texas! Town in Texas
Current Resident: Fulshear is a very nice town, with amazing housing! I recommend for people looking for aesthetically pleasing houses/neighborhoods. Stores are also well placed and dispersed so they truly add to the town! Fulshear seems to be a hotspot for moving families, so there are amazing family-friendly places you can visit with kids! To be honest, the only problems that are present are the amount of racism that is present at the schools, especially since it has been a bit "normalized" in some of them. Other than that Fulshear is an amazing place to live in, and i recommend it to any one contemplating about moving here.... Read 50 reviews

Current Resident: University Park is the perfect mix. It is affluent, but not as flashy and gaudy as Highland Park. It is very safe at all hours. It is super close to Uptown and extremely easy to access all parts of Dallas in under 20 minutes even in traffic. One of my favourite parts is that it actually has a “pulse”. I used to live in Bluffview where you don’t know if your neighbours are alive or dead. It felt scarily quiet, and I didn’t know anybody there. Current Resident: The community is generally very welcoming and kind. The town itself is pretty with a good amount of green spaces and trees. There are plenty of parks with beautiful trails within walking distance of my house. Many parks have multiple playgrounds very suitable and safe for children. Many parks also have public basketball and tenis courts. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets within a comfortable distance from home. The roads throughout the town are very large; however, even with this traffic can still be heavy. Flower Mound is not super pedestrian friendly with crosswalks being few and far between, but the sidewalks are generally very nice.
