Current Resident: I love that Aspinwall is such an inclusive community. There is so much to do, so many sights to see, and infinitely many amazing people to meet- all without leaving the perimeter of the town. Everyone knows each other, and changes are being made every day to grow Aspinwall into the best community it can possibly be. Some of my favorite things about Aspinwall is the local yoga studio I attend, being able to walk to my job, and both of the parks in the town. Everything is within walking distance, and there are various places for people to interact and become happier. Additionally, Aspinwall is very clean, and each citizen who lives here does their part to keep the town beautiful. All in all, I love it here, and I wouldn't trade my small town for the world.... Current Resident: I've lived in Marshall Township since I was 7 months old. The residents are friendly. Over Easter during the coronovirus lockdown, local firefighters and police drove through all the neighborhoods in a parade of cars and trucks with the Easter Bunny waving and hitting their horns so that everyone could come to their front doors to watch and wave. My family was very touched by this as it brought the community together while we all had to stay apart. We have the onramps to both the turnpike and main highway just down the street. We are about 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh so easy to get to the city. Must have a good reputation as houses sell very quickly when put on the market. Current Resident: I have lived in O'Hara Township for most of my life and have amazing memories from living here. I live only a minute or so away from Fox Chapel Plaza and the Waterworks, so there is definitely lots to do right in the area. Current Resident: McMurray, PA is definitely a great place to move to with family in mind. It is a pleasant suburban area in close proximity to Pittsburgh and rural areas; it is full of, and close to various amenities with a unique history. The Peters Township School District is top-tier and has a great academic and athletics program. As for job opportunities, McMurray is next door to the Southpointe office park, and within a reasonable commuting distance to Pittsburgh. McMurray also hosts a lot of retail shops along Route 19. Commute times can be a little extensive at rush hour due to the road infrastructure. The tram service, known as " The T" extends near McMurray and offers another way into Pittsburgh. Since it is a suburban area, McMurray doesn't have a lot of immediate night life options, but again, it is close to Pittsburgh and the South Hills rail service. Overall, McMurray leans on the affluent side, but there are great real estate options within and nearby. Crime is rare but it exists.... Read 19 reviews

Current Resident: We moved here three years ago mainly for our children education. Public school system is excellent. Public saftey is excellent. Property tax is outrageous but worth it if you have kids in public school system. Diversity is poor but slowly growing. Our kids love going to the strip district on the weekends. Current Resident: After moving in the fourth grade a couple little towns over to Ben Avon, I was very anxious about starting at a new public school and trying to fit in to such a nicer neighborhood, in terms of financially and aesthetically. However, I later found how tight knit the community is and just how kind and social everyone in the neighborhood is. Current Resident: I liked growing up in Murrysville. A majority of people are very friendly and welcoming - my neighbors were some of my closest friends throughout childhood. While my school does have some problems, I do think it is a lot better than a number of other nearby schools. There are plenty of places to eat, whether it's grabbing a bite on the go or sit-down restaurants, and there are dozens of hiring establishments that are perfect for a teen's first part-time job. It is in a great area, where neighboring towns, such as Penn Trafford, Plum, Monroeville, etc., are all very close and easy to access. Quite honestly, there is nowhere I would have rather grown up than where I did. Current Resident: Regent Square is one of my favorite neighborhoods. It is set away from the city living and feels more like a suburb in close proximity to the city living style. The neighborhood still has a great selection of restaurants and coffee shops and is situated next to Frick Park. Pet owners are highly welcomed in this neighborhood. Also, the neighborhood has just amazing trees that makes it feel very nature-focused. It is also located near bus transportation and convenient to commuting to Downtown. Two major drawbacks are the public schools (K-12) and the high property taxes for an owner (about $5k per year per $100k in house value. Yes, expensive!) Safety is pretty decent, but I would make sure to lock your car doors every night. Even to this day (2018), items are stolen from vehicles in street-parking when doors are unlocked. Current Resident: It's a modern day Mayberry. Kids can walk to the village and to and from school safely. Great restaurants and unique shops all within walking distance. The only downside is that the money in the area can bring cliques and poor attitudes as well as minor social upheaval. Current Resident: I have loved my time living in Point Breeze. It's a place where kindness is valued, and neighbors do whatever possible to assist each other. Growing up, I loved going to the playground that sat right across the street from my home. I met so many wonderful kids there, and some I am still friends with as of today. The neighborhood is filled with so many artistic people, and it's apparent even if you just walk around the block. You can see hand made murals on houses, and small art studios in people's garages.
