It is a pleasant suburban area in close proximity to Pittsburgh and rural areas; it is full of, and close to various amenities...The Peters Township School District is top-tier and has a great academic and athletics program. As for job opportunities, McMurray is next door to the Southpointe office park, and within a reasonable commuting distance to Pittsburgh. McMurray also hosts a lot of retail shops along Route 19. Commute times can be a little extensive at rush hour due to the road infrastructure. The tram service, known as " The T" extends near McMurray and offers another way into Pittsburgh.Since it is a suburban area, McMurray doesn't have a lot of immediate night life options, but again, it is close to Pittsburgh and the South Hills rail service.Overall, McMurray leans on the affluent side, but there are great real estate options within and nearby. Crime is rare but it exists..
