Current Resident: Johns Creek is a great suburban town in Georgia which I highly recommend. The standard of living averages to being a little high due to the wealthier folks who live in the area. While the town's population is predominantly white, there are several non-white citizens as well. Fortunately, in my personal experiences, there is a small-scale of discrimination and direct hate towards the minorities groups. There is a diverse and organized range of stores and facilities in Johns Creek to utilize. One of my favorite aspects of the town is the great education provided by schools in the area. I have firsthand experience from being a student myself. I truly believe that someone can live comfortably and successfully in Johns Creek. It's a great spot for a family. Current Resident: I love Alpharetta! It's a great place for all ages of people, from infants, toddlers, and children, all the way to adults and elderly citizens. It is a very safe, friendly community that is very inclusive despite its diversity. There are many parks and recreational areas around for sports, walking, and trails. In addition, many of the schools in the area are among the best in Georgia. Real estate is on the rise, and the area has been named among the best suburbs in America multiple times. Current Resident: I love the atmosphere that surrounds the city! Milton is truly a unique place filled with many different contrasting people. Personally, I have lived here for just over a decade, and as a student, Milton has provided me with many opportunities for growth. My school is fantastic, we have unique extracurriculars and ample funding for the students. The city is chock full of diversity, and the kids are very driven towards success. I have only experienced positive things about this city, and I hope to live in a place like it when I am fully independent. I love the mall, it is quite developed by that area, and seeing new businesses come and go. We have fantastic food because of this, and there is a lot of support by my fellow citizens to support these small stores. For example, there are many little boutiques or fusion restaurants, which truly demonstrate the amount of flair that the city of Milton flaunts. Current Resident: Otherwise known as "The Bubble", Peachtree City is a great town for future children, parents, and retirees. The schools of PTC are some of the best and provide great academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs. One of these schools includes McIntosh High School, one of the best academic high schools not just in the state of Georgia, but in the nation. The surroundings are also a great place to grow up. Not only is the town is a safe, quiet place filled with friendly people, it also has everything someone could wish for: fast food restaurants, shopping malls, beautiful landmarks of nature, such as parks, lakes, and even the Line Creek, which is a perfect place for hiking and fishing; however, the best part of the town is the fact that the town includes over 100 miles of golf cart path so that you can drive your golf cart to the nearest school, restaurant, lake, and even Walmart. Current Resident: Decatur has been home to my family and I for many years. Through generations, we’ve attended schools k-12 going back 30+ years. Proud to be 3 generations of high school graduates, with a Decatur high school diploma. I like how Decatur comes together as a community to provide the best experience and education for student and staff. Decatur has done a great job with providing the best education and limitless opportunities for students. The good defiantly out weights the bad but there’s always room for change. Something that I would like to see different in Decatur is less vehicles on the road. The community of city of Decatur does a good job with riding bikes, walking, and car pooling. In the future I hope more people can use other resources to travel these short miles just to help with traffic, and pollution. Current Resident: My first year in Suwanee, Georgia has been an enjoyable experience. What I enjoy, are all the diverse cafe's like Cafe Mixx or Caffe Bean. There are many diverse grocery shops that are accessible everywhere in the city like H-Mart, Suwanee Bazar, or just your local sprouts. The have shops accessible all around, and yummy restaurants that serve gourmet. Suwanee is full of diverse food, shops, and people. Usually going out somewhere fun is hard because it's hard to find a nice place, or its too far. Current Resident: There are many things amazing about Sugar Hill! For one, we've had a lot of new development in the past 7 years like the building of our Town Hall, a park, and stores in that area.This new development has brought more people to uor area and caused the development to skyrocket in speed. Instead of having to drive 20 minutes out of town to go and hang out with a friend, we now can drive (or even walk!) 5 minutes away and have a day of fun. Additionally, Sugar Hill is extremely clean; there's never debris on the road, trash or litter on the sidewalks or road. Anything tossed gets picked up as soon as possible as if it were never there. he Sugar Hill cmomunirt is tight-knit due to it being a branch of Buford, georgia, but now that it's growing into it's own, it is more concentrated in schools, work and even neighborhoods. one thing I'd like to change is for there to be a bus system in my town. Current Resident: Amazing oasis just outside the perimeter. Safe, quiet, incredible sense of community, abundant parks, school system that has proven strong for 30+ years. Walk to schools, multiple parks, library, aquatic center, and grocery stores! 5 minute trip to Stone Mountain Park. No walkable nightlife to speak of, but that's where the drawbacks stop. Current Resident: Phenomenal location! Close to everything of interest to our young family of four (i.e., restaurants, parks, library, grocery stores, etc). Our daughter attends preschool at Clairmont Presbyterian, and we love it. The ethnicities are quite diverse here, and everyone is cordial to one another. Current Resident: I'm a new resident at Hills Park. I purchased a home in the area at the end of 2018 and I love this place. The neighbors are friendly and the area is very safe. The home styles are wide-ranging from Craftsman to Modern and people have unique ways of designing their homes. Hills Park is close to lots of shopping districts including Atlantic Station, The Works, and more. Due to its proximity to both I-285 and I-75 along with several Marta stops and train stations, Hills Park is great for commuters. In terms of schooling, Hills Park is in one of the best public school districts within city of Atlanta limits. Food trucks frequent Hills Park and there are plenty of sidewalks for joggers and families to take strolls through the neighborhood. Former Resident: I lived in Berkeley Lake for thirty years it is absolutely one of the finest communities in America. Berkeley Lake has a city charter with a Mayor and city council so the city is able to better control it’s destiny. Current Resident: Tyrone is a cute town that houses a variety of many local businesses to occupy your time in. The quaint town also has a lot of greenery and open land which is great for people that love the outdoors or just want to take an afternoon stroll. Downtown Tyrone also has golf cart paths that connect to a larger town called Peachtree City. These paths provide an easy access to many other restaurants, stores, and amazing golf courses, all without needing a car! The only thing I would change about Tyrone is it houses many conservatives that voice their white supremacist ideals with large confederate flags and signs that read "All Lives Matter." Current Resident: Fantastic neighborhood (especially Morningside itself). Close to top schools (public also!), Piedmont park, midtown, the airport, nightlife, entertainment, buckhead, west midtown, Georgia tech, downtown, Emory, and more. Houses are unique and some of the coolest in the city and surrounding suburbs. It’s cool to see a southwestern stucco, a tudor, a bungalow, and etc. all next to each other. Neighbors are awesome and super diverse, smart, and engaged in their community. Liberal, moderate, or conservative. You could find a nice home and community here. Crime is minimal. I feel VERY comfortable with my family in Morningside. Everyone is always walking their pets, riding bikes with their family, or doing something outside on the sidewalks and streets - huge community feel. Plenty of police and midtown blue. Current Resident: Duluth is a fantastic place to be, especially for Korean Americans. There is a very vibrant Korean community with great offering for people of all ages. John's Creek the next city over has great school systems. There are numerous well-established church communities for the religious members as well. There are so many amazing ethnic groceries and restaurants available, very accessible. For the young people, there is a very vibrant bar/ billiard/ lounge/ karaoke scenery as well. Duluth downtown also offers a quaint shopping and evening outing opportunities as well. People are friendly, service is great, and there are great dining experiences to be had as well. Duluth is also centrally located with relatively short commute to nearby cities as well, notably Decatur, Alpharetta, Buckhead, Lawrenceville, and Suwanee. Current Resident: Peachtree Corners, GA, is a quaint little town. It is a peaceful suburb that is up and coming, for there has been plenty of new restaurants, shopping, and parks popping up around the city. For a city that is barely ten years old, it is very organized and it truly is a nice, family friendly community to live in. Nearby Resident: If you like the outdoors then this is the place for you! Atlantic Station has different shops, eatery, and much more activities.
