Current Resident: We have been in Dardeene Prairie for 2 years now. We came West about 15 minutes. What drew us to Dardeene is the smaller town feel. The walking trails, well kept homes, and overall sense of community are what appealed to us. The location to the high way was ideal, but did not feel like we were on top of the high way. Current Resident: As someone stated below, I am truly blessed to be a resident of Ofallon MO. My kids are in one of the decent school districts - Ft Zumwalt - which is not over rated like many others in STL but produces amazing alumni every year. I live near the Hwy K-N area which has everything you name - be it dance school, banquet halls, entertainments, auto body shops, eateries, hospitals, groceries, software industries such as Mastercard, affordable yet great housing communities. I was lucky to strike a house deal in the hot center of Hwy K/N during COVID whose price is now beyond equity. The neighbors are extremely loving and immigrant friendly. I am blessed again!... Current Resident: I really like how the city has a lot of community opportunities for classes ranging from fine arts to STEM to tax filing education. The resources around the town are abundant for the city residents and the city is well maintained by the public works. The public school system is also very good in terms of providing quality education to the youth given the times that we are in. However, the teachers providing the education could be better supported in their job. They should not have to pay out of pocket for their classrooms given the affluence of the city and yet, they still do. The local government is still run by those who remember the town when it had one stoplight and are outstaying their welcome in their position. Education is quite good and the town is safe and clean. The biggest issue is finding something to do as nightlife is nonexistent. There are very few restaurants that stay open late or activities that can be done after 10 pm. Personally, I find it a good place to settle down with a family. Current Resident: Cottleville is a wonderful place to live! It's safe, very cute, has great schools and great food. Home prices are high but its worth it! It's also a golf cart town which is super fun, and they just put up a huge food truck and wine/beer garden. They play live music and its a really good atmosphere. Also, lots of sidewalks so very pet friendly! There is a very high rated grade school, middle school, and high school right in town, most within walking distance. also a bonus is that there is only a 30 min drive to the city! So catching a cardinals or blues game is super easy. They are building a bunch of new homes and apartments, so that may affect traffic a bit, but I'm excited to have more people in the town. We are super close to grocery stores and major chain stores so that's really nice. I love living here I seriously couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Crime rate is super low, one of the safest suburbs in Missouri! Roads are kept up with, streets are clean and wide.... Read 8 reviews

Niche User: We actually just had a great example take place. Early this year (March-May), we did have a couple houses in the area that were broken in too. The local police were very prompt in dealing with the issues. They started regular patrols (at different times) and offered to drive by houses that weren't regularly occupied - we had them do this when we went on a vacation. Since the thieves have been caught (or at least I am assuming they've been caught as there have been no issues since and there hasn't been any talk of it either) the police have continued a semi-regular patrol and our area has been quite safe I feel.... Current Resident: It is a nice place to live. We are about 30 minutes from down town so Cardinals games are just a short drive away. We live close enough to the country where it does not seem like we only have concrete and over crowded buildings all around us. We live in walking distance to three different parks which is a huge bonus because we have children. We actually moved to Ofallon due to their amazing school district. We have a child with special needs and it is nice to have the piece of mind knowing that all the social and educational needs are met. I would recommend 10/10 for new and upcoming families to move here. Our street is quiet and our neighbors are friendly. Most everyone has small kids so its nice because it feels like we are all on the same schedules. LOL All in all I love where we live, my in laws live 5 minutes from us as does my sister and brother in law so we all are able to get together quickly and for all kinds of events and family outings, don't look any further....
