Current Resident: Excellent neighborhood, very safe, quiet, beautiful environment, well-kept everywhere and people are nice and friendly. People here all have pride of home ownership, so homes are very well maintained and landscaping around their properties is very well kept. You can tell everyone is doing a great job keeping the neighborhood nice, clean and organized. School is highly rated too. Very family friendly, great place to raise your kids. Lots of trees, nature and parks around! We live here for several years and absolutely love it!... Read 47 reviews

Junior: My experience at the Academy of the Holy Cross is, that I came as a transfer into my junior year. The Academy was very welcoming, and though it was my first year I felt that after a few months I had already known everybody. The teachers are kind and outgoing, especially the social studies department! Now, the sports are also quite good, everyone on the teams are not only experienced, but determined to be the best. Also, the volleyball team is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and the coaches are really one of a kind! Now, the music and arts, there are many options and opportunities, and honor societies that are related to not only other departments, but the arts departments as well, that are welcome for everyone to join! Also, I would recommend taking a dance class, the dance teacher is one of the best teachers there, regardless if you don’t take one of her classes, like I don’t. Moreover, administration is great, some of the most nicest and reliable people at the Academy are there.... Read 183 reviews

Current Resident: Living in the area of Martha Lake is great! You have easy access to highways, roads, and the I-5 freeway. Additionally, the lake is nearby allowing you to go on walks, swimming, or just relax. The neighbors and residents here are all friendly as the area is very secluded. There is a local Martha Lake Airport Park which opens up to a skateboard park, soccer field, baseball field, a small playground, and even rock climbing. Also, there are trails that people can walk their dogs or ride their bikes too. Martha Lake is a safe, friendly neighborhood for visitors to come and see.... Read 25 reviews

Current Resident: Edmonds has a vivid and rich culture. The ferry is always a nice afternoon activity for many, and the beaches are always beautiful. Downtown Edmonds has cozy storefronts, bakery's, and culturally diverse restaurants that welcome anyone who passes by. The rustic statues, depicting families and sailors, vignette the orca whales and passing boats. The architecture found in town is notably detailed, and is colored with deep blues, soft whites, and vibrant wood stains. This town has been more than a home for me. I wouldn't choose a different place to live in Washington. This welcoming community has housed me and my family for years and is the perfect place for anyone interested in the pacific northwest. Edmonds serves as the perfect slice of Washington, and I wouldn't want it any other way.... Read 98 reviews

Current Resident: It's a pretty quiet area, besides the main highway that runs through the town. I attended elementary and middle school in Maltby and had great experiences at both. There are a lot of industries and businesses hidden in Maltby's background, and a couple of neat shops and cafes to visit. There are also a few gas stations and mini-marts for convenience. It's nestled between Woodinville and Monroe, which is a great location. It's a very woodsy area with a lot of trees, which I love. There is a lot of wildlife, too! People look out for one another in Maltby, and it's a place where friends can be made.... Read 47 reviews

Niche User: I love my neighborhood, I've lived here ever since I was a little girl and I had the best childhood. On warm days, all of the kids would go out and play together. On holidays like the fourth of July everyone in the neighborhood would come to my house and we would take over the whole street and have a firework show. I know all my neighbors and whenever I see them they always say hi. I was doing a canned food drive to raise 1000 cans for my school and my neighbors were a huge help to achieving that goal. I've always felt incredibly safe where I live and I would live here again if I had the choice. I has a great environment and atmosphere, with the nicest people.... Read 3 reviews

Current Resident: Mountlake Terrace, Washington is a small suburb north of Seattle. I have lived in this area my whole life. In general, there's not much to do because it's quite small. There's the recreation center, a few schools, and the annual Tour De Terrace Parade. The parade showcases the Police motorcycle group, local businesses, the Nile Shriners, sports cars, and many more. The parade is the last Friday in July and is what every local looks forward to. Chairs are lined upon the street days before and the carnival takes place all weekend long. The carnival may be small, but it's so much fun and there's something for everyone. The city of Mountlake Terrace, but it's filled with charm.... Read 43 reviews

Current Resident: I still live here. It's a wonderful community, and for such a little town, it has some great sights to see. The people here are friendly, the neighbors hospitable at least from my experience, and it's relatively safe. We have a really good school district and quite a few places for kids to play (mostly various playgrounds.) The lake is refreshing and the views of the mountains are unbelievably beautiful. On a sunny day, the beaches are amazing. A good place for kids to stay. It has some stores and restaurants, and quite a few missing kitten posters. The air is clean and there is a lot of plant life. It's a temperate climate, and we get some good snow sometimes. The summers here are the best. It is very peaceful in a lot of neighborhoods. You hardly even notice the quiet sound of frogs at night that soothe you off to sleep. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, honestly! (I did grow up here, so this town is my home and my perfect place.) I do recommend it.... Read 117 reviews

Parent: The Admissions department made the application process seamless. They were easy to reach; gladly returned phone calls and inquiries; and, assisted with the application process during each step. Compared to other independent college prep institutions, RMA is a small school. However, we were thoroughly impressed with the diversity that we saw during the summer camp program; We were pleased to see that it carried over to the academic year. The curriculum is rigorous. The staff is caring. There are a variety of extracurricular activities that are day and boarding inclusive. Any family "on the fence" about RMA should definitely consider a second look, or reach out to staff. You'll be glad you did!... Read 163 reviews
