Niche User: St Pete has all the diversity and activity you would expect from a big city, yet it somehow feels like a small town. Whenever we go out, we usually run into someone we know, which is pretty cool. My family is full of foodies, so we love the downtown food scene. There are a lot of cool local fusion places, and there's alway something new to try. There's a great variety of music and art events going on that we can check out, and somehow the market doesn't feel oversaturated. Current Resident: Warm, welcoming and fun! Love the monthly porch parties where we are able to meet and greet our neighbors. Our neighborhood charity events are a blast, with proceeds going to our voted charity of the year. Neighborhood Bike crawls where we all ride to local breweries together are amazing. Current Resident: good neighborhood with good neighbors and a great location. There is plenty to do and see and it is in a good location for bike riding. There is a great park and school in the neighborhood along with a boat ramp. This is a great neighborhood with plenty to do and is more affordable then some of the other nearby areas.... Current Resident: My wife and I chose Coquina Key due to it’s off the beaten path and charming and convenient location. We relocated from Maryland and were looking for a friendly, diverse and affordable neighborhood. We like the fact that there are old, young, diverse ethnicities and housing. In the 2 months since being in our home, we have met our neighbors, walked in the park often and are learning to play pickleball on the pickleball courts in the park. Current Resident: Great, safe place to live. Very friendly, monthly porch parties, and has an old-school community feel. So many restaurants and bars to walk to, but still feels like a neighborhood. Just a short walk to the downtown-beach trolley line, so the options are incredible. Finally, getting to the Northbound interstate ramp is incredibly easy, so commutes to Carillon Office Park, Tampa, and the airport are pretty easy. Traffic is as you would expect in any city this size. Mass transit continues to improve, and as it does, this neighborhood is adjacent to the Central/1st N/1st S hub lines. I love living here and the people I've met. No wonder home values have skyrocketed in this neighborhood lately.... Visitor: FOR THE MOST PART Your figures are off, the mean income of around 120K, scratch that it's probably more like 300K at the bottom. Well rent of 1300 if your renting a room in someone's house. Diversity is ungaugable do to the level of privacy that is insisted upon, its an island for the most part. The people there have enough money to buy the house down the street (saw it). So they have a place to stay, while their home is being crushed, and an expensive custom home is being built in it's place. All their kids go to private schools. And SPPD gives extra attention to detail out there, so it's safe. I don't live there, I've been visiting out there for 20 years.... Read 2 reviews

Current Resident: This is my favorite area to live in St Petersburg. The Crossroads area, also called Downtown Tyrone, is the closest part of St. Pete to the beaches, and yet it's close enough to downtown St. Pete to hop in the car and be there in about fifteen minutes. Current Resident: Moved here 1 year ago and love it here. Roberts Rec center always has great community events, and there is a great young energy here. The houses are affordable and the bordered neighborhood is one of the best secrets in St. Pete. With easy access to the interstate, I can get to the beach in 10 minutes. Niche User: I have lived here for almost 12 years now and considering this area in general it is great. There are many things close by: the mall, movie theaters, restaurants, downtown St. Pete, the beach, and much more! It is a pretty central location and I would choose to live here again. I have not traveled to many other places in the country but compared to where I used to live this is amazing. Very safe for me to play outside when I was a kid and there are plenty of kids who play around here. This neighborhood gets better every year with the landscaping improvements on properties and the new residents. It is generally very quiet but I see it become just a little bit more lively.... Current Resident: The Eagle Crest neighborhood in St. Petersburg, FL is a good location for those looking to live in the city. The real estate in St. Pete is quite pricey, Eagle Crest provides housing that is cheap for the city. The neighborhood is about fifteen to twenty minutes from downtown and ten minutes to Treasure Island Beach. If you're looking for the nightlife, this neighborhood probably isn't for you. Eagle Crest is a quiet neighborhood well suited for those looking for more of a suburban lifestyle. It's close to several retail stores and movie theater, as well as the Tyrone Mall. Current Resident: When I was just a child, my family moved to the neighborhood of Azalea, and we have not been disappointed! Because of its conveniences, it is a great place to live. First, friendly neighbors make the neighborhood a wonderful place. No matter what the need, we have been able to count on our neighbors. Secondly, the Azalea offers a variety of recreation. For example, Azalea park includes sidewalks, tennis courts, exercise equipment, a disc golf course, football field, and playground. Finally, Azalea is a strong neighborhood due to the official neighborhood association. The association holds meetings at the recreational center which includes a report from a local police officer, a variety of speakers, as well as food and fellowship with neighbors.
