Current Resident: As a current resident in Downtown Miami I must say this it is my favorite place to live in all South Florida. Located right in the heart of Miami, right between innovating Brickell, Midtown and South Beach; it is the most convenient location the city has to offer. Downtown offers many benefits like alternative routes to skip traffic and really near-by access to the highway, beautiful Bayfront Park along Bayside Mall with its Marina, free metro mover transportation to Brickell and surrounding areas. With many diverse restaurants and bars in the area it only seems to get better. The only issue that needed fixing was more surveillance by the cops and it has recently been solved already by cops taking regular day to day surveillance shifts in the corners of streets.... Current Resident: The area is great for families there are many thing accessible in the surrounding areas from the post office to Publix to even the greatest brunch spot of all time First Watch. I highly recommend this neighborhood for those who can afford it as the homes in the area are a bit pricey. The one downside to living in this area is the nightlight, rather the lack of night life the shops in the surrounding area close around 10 or sooner giving a eerie vibe to the place in the hours after as some of the streets are poorly lit.... Current Resident: I have been living in West Flagler for about five years now. I love the family-friendly neighborhood. I go running early at 5 AM but never felt unsafe being a young woman. I love walking outside in this peaceful neighborhood. I am not a big casino fan, but checking out Magic City casino is refreshing once in a while. I have changed three jobs last five years and never had any problems commuting around Miami. The Dolphin Expy takes you downtown within 10-15 minutes. When I started working in Coconut Groove, the 27th Ave highway was very convenient to access any South Miami area within 10-15 minutes. I am excited about the approved project Miami Freedom Park with David Beckham’s billion-dollar Inter Miami CF soccer stadium complex with the proposed 25,000-seat. Miami international airport is 5 minutes from here and is a significant hub for Caribbean destinations. Real Estate is a little expensive here but worth the facilities and convenience the location provides.... Read 2 reviews

Calle Ocho is an iconic part of little Havana where tourists come and get a feel of the Cuban culture. The street is full of restaurants and art galleries and has held various festivals over the years. I believe the neighborhood is very diverse and a hotspot for different latin american and caribbean cultures. Current Resident: We just moved a month ago to the area and we feel that the neighborhood is changing rapidly for the better. One can see new construction in almost every block, the location is insanely convenient, a few minutes from Midtown, Wynwood, Downtown, airport, etc. I couldn't hope for a better location. And yes, it is quite and safe neighborhood. Our cars have slept outside many nights mainly because we forgot to enter it and never have had a problem. Besides, we are literally walking distance to 4 parks which have open gyms and even swimming pools. Supermarkets are also at walking distance and I already lost count of the restaurants and cafes. I am in love with this neighborhood. It is true that one can find all these conveniences in another neighborhoods but the prices one have to pay for homes there are much higher than in Allapattah, at least for now :)... Read 5 reviews
