Current Resident: My father owned a business here between 1990-2005 and from the time I was a little kid coming to the office with my dad, I always knew I wanted to live in Hampden some day. Now, as a 32 year old, my husband and I are living in the same building that once housed my dad’s business and we absolutely love it! We’ve been here for 6 years now. The neighborhood has changed a lot since I was a kid, but for the better in many ways! There is such a strong sense of community, lots of hip shops, cafes, restaurants, parks, annual events and festivals, etc. So many things to do and the people are so lovely! It’s a fun, quirky, diverse, artsy neighborhood and I’m just in love with it. The only issue is the cost of living here is getting higher and higher. Eventually we won’t be able to afford to continue living here. If we ever had to leave it, I would miss it dearly, though.... Read 22 reviews
