Current Resident: I feel lucky to live in this neighborhood. Lots of walkable food, stores, entertainment and parks. There is crime, especially in package stealing and car related things, but overall I feel pretty safe. The weather is great, the architecture is beautiful and the people are nice. It feels like a homey community and you can easily reach the rest of the city in decent time. Great freeway access and with the new slow streets, less crazy traffic. Feels pretty clean and is very livable. You do get some stray negative elements coming through, but overall I love it. If I were lower income, though, I'd be priced out or pay a lot for a pretty small place.... Read 11 reviews

Current Resident: I've lived in various parts of SF and South Beach is my favorite. I find that it's got something for everyone. - Abundance of restaurants & cafes from food trucks to Michelin stars, and everything in between. Plus every cuisine type imaginable. - Ideal location to getaround by driving, rideshare, walking and/or e-scooter. Near freeways, Bay Bridge, public transportation. - Nearby grocery stores - Safeway, RJs, Whole Foods, Woodlands, Trader Joe's Target. - Activities are in close proximity - Ferry Building, SFMOMA, Yerba Buena, Moscone, baseball and basketball/concert stadium, Westfield Mall, Embarcadero Center stores, free tennis/basketball/volleyball courts.... Current Resident: Positives first: It's close to everything. Great for walking, biking & public transit. There are limitations on driving but that's a good thing. You can grab Bart to Oakland in 12 minutes, or to SFO and Oakland International in 25 & there are direct buses to Marin, the wine country & trains to the Peninsula and San Jose within easy walking distance. International restaurants of every variety and price range, bars, stores, coffee, movie theaters, and major shopping districts are found in every direction. Great cultural & LGBT diversity, an amazing twice weekly farmer's market. Beautiful architecture: Beaux Arts & Neo Classical architecture. Niche User: What I love the most is that there is an atmosphere of different cultures and races depending on the area you are on. In reality it is a very small city and you can experience all of it almost in a single day. Current Resident: Nob Hill is one of the safest, and well-to-do neighborhoods in San Francisco. There are tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and most all popular areas are within walking distance as well. Transportation is phenomenal as there are several efficient bus lines that can take you anywhere, there's there notorious cable car with connecting lines surrounding the neighborhood, as well as Uber/Lyft services which arrive within minutes. Nob Hill also offers amazing views; depending on which streets you are on, you can see the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz, the Piers, and so much more! Current Resident: Potrero Hill is a tight knit community in San Francisco representing an area with many new families that is similar to suburban area even though the San Francisco sky line can be seen on any block. The small businesses are run by Potrero Hill natives, and are always full of locals and regulars. It's a beautifully lovely area, where even movies/films are constantly in production. Current Resident: I was born and raised in San Francisco so I have still how impacted we are from outside source. Sf became very congested about 2/3 years ago and I noitcw with the tech boom it has driven our rent extremely high. Happily for the Western Addition it’s not crowded although it’s real estate had an massive inflation. The area is still nice and has became very diverse. It’s an welcoming area for all people! Current Resident: The Inner Sunset neighborhood is great family oriented neighborhood. There are two public schools. Golden Gate Park is very close by. The ocean and Ocean Beach is just a fifteen minute walk. There is a farmers market and multiple grocery stores. I especially appreciate all of the small businesses offering unique services and goods. In the Outer Sunset there is a co-op grocery store which has healthy food offerings. There is a public transportation line that runs from the beach to down town called Muni. It is a reliable service with some exceptions. Currently the city is making improvements to sidewalks and roads to create a more pedestrian and bike friendly environment. Last year new trees were planted along one of the main roads, Irving street. The Inner Sunset is a safe neighborhood. Current Resident: Cathedral Hill a nice wide open area Very nice schools parks one big park in cathedral and many small ones and cathedral hill is surrounded by parks on outer edges as well. Jefferson sq dog off leash.New hospital only few blocks up street 3 all new condos going and and park not as bad as else where transportation is great hitall of downtown just 10 mins take .when leaving 10 mins or less HW 8.5 only con buuilding but that just daytime.best part is to you on gough to post face O. beack its wide open all lower levels building open view all to sutro tower .... Visitor: I visit the neighborhood a lot to dogsit for a family and on walks I've realized the place is super safe, there are a lot of restaurants for any dietary need.
