Current Resident: We have lived in Shoal Creek Valley for 5 years (I have lived in Kansas City and Inner Liberty mos of my life) we have been blessed enough to be able to chose the location in the Kansas City metro area of basically anywhere because of our family company flexibility. I wouldn’t live anywhere else. I wouldn’t want to. We attempted and we looked at several homes in other regions which were highly ranked as well but still, none compared overall, in every category to Shoal Creek Valley. I absolutely love my neighborhood and district. I’d be heartbroken to move anywhere else in the Kansas City area... Read 7 reviews

Niche User: The atmosphere of the area I live in is great. I see people outside running, walking their dogs, and pushing baby strollers every day in the spring and summer. I remember having emergency vehicles outside our home a few years ago, and receiving dozens of calls from our neighbors to make sure that our family was okay. The people that live in my area are caring and loving. I would live here again if I had to. However, I do see myself living somewhere near a beach as I am from Hawaii and have an urge for the water. Compared to other parts of the country I live in a very clean, safe, and warm place. It is very diverse, some parts of Kansas City have a high crime rate, but now the city is working hard to build back up those violent neighborhoods. It is also a great place to live at any age because it is so big there is a place for everyone. For example I live on the boarder of Kansas City by Lee's Summit. There are many kids in my neighborhood and we all go to Lee's Summit schools because they rank higher. That is convenient that Kansas City is so big, but does not limit the kids to go to school there. This helps draw in wealthier families that will keep the neighborhoods looking nice....
