Current Resident: Greater avenues is an awesome area to live in if you are a downtown or suburban loving person! The community sends out a newsletter with newest information about things that will affect the neighborhood. My dog escaped from my backyard one time and if it wasn't for the neighborhood watch that had been implemented, I may have never found him! I am so thankful for that! The University of Utah is easily accessible by car in 5 mins, bike by 10-20mins, or walking (time varies depending on how far west you are from the school).... Read 50 reviews

Current Resident: I’ve lived here eight years, and I love it. I do bike to work up at the University, and I feel comfortable walking anywhere in this neighborhood at anytime of day or night. I can walk to grocery stores, doctor and dental offices, the gym, and lots of other small businesses just beyond the neighborhood. One of my very favorite things about the neighborhood is the variety of types of homes. There are no cookie-cutter homes here. Being of mixed caucasian and native heritage, I do notice that it is not very diverse here, but over the years that has changed somewhat. I also feel like this is likely one of the best neighborhoods in all of Utah for people who are not Mormon. I have never felt out of place in that way.... Read 8 reviews

Former Resident: Sugarhouse has been a great place to grow up! Neighbors are friendly and kind, tons of cute houses and lots of apartments going up, cool places to eat, and pretty nice parks. Downsides: It's not super crazy diverse, and I know the housing market is very expensive. Current Resident: What I like about Rose park is how diverse it is. I feel safe in my community and I always try to connect with my neighborhood as much as I can. The neighbors are the nicest, wonderful, and caring people. The only downfall I could think of is living right next to the freeway, as well as the airport. Current Resident: Glendale is an underestimated neighborhood. There are a lot of great houses, stores and even vegan restaurants. The neighbors on my street are really great people. I meet more and more people that live so close to me. The housing in this area is affordable for families. Many people have lived in Glendale for over 10 years! There are some things that make living here a little difficult: there are train tracks that cross both directions (north to south and east to west) so on the chance there is a long slow train moving through I have to just wait for it to pass.
