Current Resident: Initially, I wasn't very fond of living in Omaha. I had just finished my freshman year in a tiny town in Iowa, and I was excited to finish the next three years of my high school experience in that simple town. When I moved, it was one of the hardest things for me to say goodbye to all my friends, and school became so much harder for me as well. However, I worked extremely hard in school, and I earned good grades because of it. I learned that putting in extra time and effort was all I needed to keep my grades where I needed them and the work ethic that I developed throughout high school is something I will never trade. However, I also learned to get out of my comfort zone socially. Initially, making new friends was very hard for me, but I learned to open up and be more accepting of change in my life. Now, I am able to see the beautiful city of Omaha for all the great things that it is. I have had so much fun living in Omaha these past few years. It has really been a blast!

Current Resident: Well I moved to Lincoln my junior year of high school and the school was gigantic! My class had went from 200 some kids in Texas to 500 kids in Lincoln. I was nervous at first, but people were pretty welcoming and talkative, especially when you get involved in activities. Lincoln is a small town, big city feeling. Everyone knows everyone, but Lincoln has many different spots you can go to not feel crowded. Also, I never noticed how active people are in Lincoln. I see people in their 80's running on all the different trails we have here, people are extremely devoted to health and fitness, which was nice to see because my family and I became more aware of ways to be better by being healthy and exercising regularly.
