Current Resident: I love Carlsbad, it’s beautiful! It’s also very big. Downtown Carlsbad is fun, exciting, with lots to do. There’s lots of shops to walk to and there’s a lot of restaurants to try. I lived there for many years and we walked everywhere. Now I live in another part of Carlsbad which is just as beautiful. A little further from the downtown area of walkable places, but everything is still close by. The outlet mall and the shops at the forum are great places to shop and are both nearby. Driving on Highway 101 is a great way to enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean along the coast. During sunsets the skies are unbelievable , beautiful and viewable from most areas in the city. The only downside to the area is the traffic and the amount of people. But from someone who is born and raised in California I think it’s worth it.

Current Resident: San Diego has everything you can possibly need. Its close to the border, which means you are less than half hour away from enjoying all that Mexico has to offer. You have lots of beaches to choose from, unique and special in their own way. People always talk about the weather, but its honestly one of the best to ever exist. You never know what you're going to get, it can be winter and you may still be able to wear shorts and sandals. The culture is amazing here too. I love going to different mini cities around here and try new coffee, new food, and thrift shops. I always have something to do here, which keeps things interesting. The schools here are great, and they help minorities reach their educational goals, I'm currently going to Southwestern College and I haven't felt so welcome in a long time. Also, we have Julian California, where you can experience snow and delicious pie. The mini city of Julian is one for the books, and it just adds to the fact that San Diego has it all!
