Current Resident: If you like the outdoors, this is the place to be! Skiing and snow sports are 30 minutes away from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown. Summer is a blast with hiking, mountain biking, camping, water sports. There are a ton of lakes within 30 minutes of downtown with camping, fishing and boating options. Southern Utah is red-rock country, and only 3-5 hours away from downtown, depending on which direction you go. The city itself is very conservative, but that just makes the more liberal folks try harder to push back. The art and music scenes are awesome, and believe it or not, we have great beer, wine and spirits made right in our city. There are a ton of bars and clubs, theaters and a large amusement park 25 minutes from downtown.

Current Resident: Provo is definitely a college town. There's always something to do here! Everyone is generally very social and kind. But sadly I have noticed there's a very harmful perfectionist culture. Many people come from all over the United States to attend Brigham Young University. It's an extremely competitive school with high moral standards. Now there's nothing wrong with that, but I've noticed how depressed the students tend to get here when they don't measure up. Definitely something that needs to change. Other than that though it's quite pleasant to be here! There are tons of hikes and outdoor activities! Also Sundance is right up the road from Provo! If you're ever in town it's worth the visit!
