Current Resident: My wife and I love living in Billings! It's one of the few cities in Montana where "regular" people may still be able to afford a home, which we were able to do. We have quite a selection of stores and restaurants close to our neighborhood, and even more throughout the city. There's more to do here than in most cities in MT, though if you're coming from a big city, you'll probably miss some amenities. I came from a very small town in MT, so Billings is quite a change for me. There are ample outdoor recreation opportunities in town and even more close to town. We have always felt safe in our neighborhood and in most places around town. Like most cities in America, Billings does have drugs and crime. Unfortunately, that's really not something you can get away from even in Montana. Again though, if you're coming from a big city, Billings is pretty tame.
