Current Resident: Clarksville is a booming city with lots of growth and even more promise. You can find anything you want in this city and you don't even have to drive very far to get it! From farmland to downtown, you sure can experience it all! The people in Clarksville are kind and helpful, and they don't mind stopping to chat for a minute, even with a complete stranger. There are walking, biking, and jogging trails as well as the river you can visit, and plenty of parks, schools, businesses, and entertainment options. Clarksville has so many unique residential areas, there really is something for everyone based on affordability and taste. The public transportation is amazing. You can get nearly everywhere via the Clarksville Transit System (CTS), and the bus runs between 6a-8p Mon-Fri and even have some Saturday morning and afternoon runs! I couldn't be happier living here in Clarksville, and I'm so glad to call this place home.

- City in Ohio
Current Resident: I love being from and living in Columbus! I think the city has a lot to offer in terms of art. music, food, and culture. I would like to see a lot of the construction happening be wrapped up, as it seems like the city is always covered in orange cones and riffraff. I would also like to see a lot of the public schools that have shut down be restored to their former glory so kids today can receive a top notch education at a public school like I did when I was younger, before I started private school in middle school. Overall, I'm proud to be from here; there are lots of hidden gems and anyone spending time here would never stop discovering new things if they keep looking!

Current Resident: Wilmington is an outstanding city full of life! You can go from beautiful beaches to city night life in one day just by crossing town. Our local businesses are supported by the whole city and are growing every year. You can also see a large diversity of people here year-round. I would say the only subject that could use improvement, and is receiving it slowly, are the roads and drivers. Traffic is often very bad especially during the summer, but new work is being down to improvement that everyday!

- City in Connecticut
Current Resident: Born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut it has to be one of the most populated yet diverse cities in Connecticut. From the moment you enter Stamford you are welcomed by the beautifully lit lights that run along the train station. Now what other train station are as lit up as Stamford’s? Not to mention the towering buildings that are associate with major cooperations like WWE. With the view and the agricultural aspect of Stamford, the city offers their residents an amass of amenities in almost every neighborhood. From grocery store to favorite local restaurant Stamford has most of it. The school on the other hand can improve but it doesn’t stop most Stamford students to achieve their success. Now the residential aspect of Stamford can vary but that all depends on budget. Overall Stamford is a city that works!

Current Resident: There’s always so much new to see and do! This year alone the theme parks have kicked-it up a notch with some amazing new attractions. I love to workout outside and Orlando’s weather, trails, paths and other work-out friendly locations make it easy to wake up early and get a nice workout in. Lake Eola in downtown Orlando is one of my favorite spots because the people-watching and scenery makes it so much more enjoyable.Of course, after a good workout, it’s time to refuel! Orlando offers so many different cuisines and many with amazing outdoor patios. I have many favorites but LUMA on Park in Winter Park wins the medal with their outside seating and amazing wine selection.Orlando is called The City Beautiful for a reason. I recently went to Blue Springs State Park and I loved being out in nature, strolling around the park and paddling in a canoe being accompanied by manatees. It’s was a breathtaking experience.

New York City
83 Best Cities to Raise a Family in America
- City in New York
Current Resident: New York City is a great platform for diversity, growth, and creative outlet. It is the cultural Mecca of the world. With the diversity of not only people but of the different locations within Manhattan itself, it proves itself to be quite an adventurous and exiting city for people of every kind. Hang around the Upper West side and experience the rustic and antique architecture of Old New York's past then hop on the train for 15 minutes and you are in Times Square, the heart of New York, go on the train again for 20 minutes and you can visit Brooklyn. There are communities of every type for every person(the LGBT community, artists, activists, clubs, workshops). Anything you want, you can find in New York City. That being said, the negatives are the cost of living, virtually everything is expensive especially in Manhattan, the public transportation system is very slow and some areas including the Bronx are dangerous. Overall it is a great city to be a part of and I am proud of it!

- City in Nevada
Current Resident: Reno has so much to offer and yet is an underappreciated city! The downtown area features the river with creative shops and independent restaurants. The craft beer scene is bursting with new breweries. Lake Tahoe, with world class skiing, swimming, camping, hiking, is less than an hour's drive away. Pyramid Lake also holds a quiet desert charm with ancient petroglyphs, paleolithic land formations, and recreation away from Tahoe's crowds. The neighborhoods are becoming increasingly bike friendly and the city is small and easy to navigate while still offering everything you could expect of a much larger area.

Current Resident: Hello, I was originally born in Tyler, TX. After graduating from Arkansas for my undergraduate degree I immediately moved to Dallas, TX. Dallas has been a great opportunity for me to grow both professionally and personally. Moving from a small town I sometimes find myself overwhelmed by how much there is to do in this city. Whether it's concerts or sporting events you will always have something to do. Dallas has a big city feel with humble people who are willing to help you through your journey. I plan to live in this city for the rest of my life. I encourage anyone to come and visit Dallas, you will not regret it!

88 Best Cities to Raise a Family in America
- City in District of Columbia
Current Resident: I've lived in DC since I was born and it's definitely a great place either to visit or live in. It is an artistic hotbed with its array of unique museums and other unorthodox but fascinating artistic experiences (such as Artechouse, a gallery that displays technology-based, interactive art). Its restaurants are unparalleled, especially in the Wharf, Georgetown, and Chinatown areas. Georgetown also hosts an amazing amount of stores perfect for anyone wanting to spend a day shopping. For history buffs, DC also offers a number of significant sites relating to the history of our country. For families with young kids, the zoo and Rock Creek Park provide places to play. Even the public transportation is great compared to other cities I've visited (though the metro is often slow on weekends). The main drawback is the high cost of living, and it's also worth noting that it's moderately hard to extract oneself from the politics-oriented environment if you live here for a while.

Their are several free disc golf courses within a 15 minute drive anywhere in the city. The healthy food scene is gaining steam, with Sprouts and Nature's Grocers and Whole Foods sprinkled throughout the city. Unemployment is at 2.5%, which is amazing! Jobs are extremely easy to find, especially with the wonderful help of the Pikes Peak Work Force Center. The Broncos' stadium is an hour north. There are 18 high schools to choose from, all under 20 minutes driving. If you love baseball, we have Sky Sox. Hockey? Avalanches. Football? The Colorado Flames are here. Cycling? Former Resident: Based on what my mom tells me, we practically live on the invisible border that separates Henderson from Las Vegas, just for clarification. It's a lot better than any of the other neighborhoods I've lived in. There's a Galaxy Theater right behind my place and a little central hub that has a small casino and stores, food hangouts, and ice cream! It's a cozy little area, and there's even a spot that helps you find a job if you're having trouble locating/applying. My mom and I visited once, and the workers there are all very helpful.
It's a nice place, and there's an inside joke among the community about the police. Since the crime rate in Henderson is substantially lower compared to its neighbors, they really have nothing to do but cruise. So if there ever IS an incident, even as small as a neighbor dispute, expect to see like 4 or 5 police cars. They are ALWAYS ready for the job.

Current Resident: Mesa is a wonderful little city that has been my home for the past 4 years. It has such a historic feel to it, especially in the northern parts. However, the city is constantly striving to re-vamp and improve the streets / parks / community, which is not found in all the cities that you find across our lovely desert state. I am super blessed to consider myself a Mesa resident, and truly look forward to the changes for the better than are continuing to come!

Current Resident: Winston Salem is like New York City for most kids where I'm from. That being because there's nothing to do except in Winston-Salem. Winston Salem has so many culturally diverse restaurants that my friends and I will spend the weekend trying as many as we can. It also has an extremely large mall, which is very exciting for the average teenage girl, such as myself. It houses several different movie theaters as well, which is always good for a date night. The nightlife there is fun too! I've been to Winston Salem's bowling alley and nightclub, and I had a blast at both! But my favorite part of Winston-Salem is it's historic district, Old Salem. People can walk on cobblestone streets around the restored old building, and there's a living (interactive) history museum. Employees dress up in 1700's style clothes and speak in old English. I have very fond memories from it as a child. There is no doubt that Winston-Salem has been a source of my happiness for many years.

- City in Indiana
Niche User: I have gone to school in Indianapolis for 3 years now at the wonderful Butler University, and I have to honestly say that Indianapolis is a great area for young-adults to start their careers and professional lives. The city itself has so many different attractions (sports, restaurants, theaters, arenas/stadiums, museums, outdoor activities/parks/canals) to offer to different people and whatever their walks-of-life may encompass. Indianapolis provides a great "city" feeling while also not being as overwhelming as a city such as Chicago or New York City. Overall, Indianapolis encompasses many different aspects that I think make it a great, family-friendly place to settle down, start a career, raise a family, or attend school. Thank you Indianapolis for the great memories thus far!

Current Resident: I can't lie, I love this city. It's not where everything's happening, but it's still not off the map. Fort Wayne isn't fast or slow. There are many diverse communities, and growing industrialization. But it's not mandatory! Residents of the Summit City like the speed of Fort Wayne. If not, they'd move to either Indianapolis or Bloomington! There's music, food, festivals, museums, and a TON of history. There are upscale, five-star restaurants, and hole-in-the-wall bars. Raise your kids here. Hide away here. Party here. Vacation here. Fort Wayne isn't just a city, it's a statement. It has cuture.

There are family centered activities as well as singles, young married, and more mature adults through Parks and Rec, the Topeka Public Library, NOTO district, a few bars, some great local restaurants that are always recommended by Topeka residents.
