The best city in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Easy access to the city via the train while still experiencing the surrounding areas. Scranton celebrates it's diversity, lively downtown, and art scene. The nightlife is amazing and all of the parks & recreational centers are well kept. And you can't forget about Dickson City! It is it's own small town while still maintaining a tight-knit community. An amazing place for families!

Growing up in NEPA, me and my husband moved to Scranton when we were expecting our first child. The area is a really upscale portion of the Poconos. Family friendly neighborhoods, with decent size properties. They are even many dilapidated properties ready to be gentrified on all over if interested in building new. I like the access to all the shopping centers on different stretches of highways, with all the beautiful scenery and actual hills of Montage Mountain!
I love Scranton! There are definitely areas in NEPA that are more welcoming than others, but overall the city is a hustling and bustling place to live! There are lots of four/five star restaurants and tons of activities to do. If someone is fond of something in a nearby area, traveling is worth it’s weight in gold. The city is conveniently located and full of many humble, kind hearted people who are proud to call this city their home. There are currently improvements enriching in the city to make it more attractive to everyone.
