I was born in Long Island and moved to Scranton when I was in 3rd grade and I honestly can say that this city is one of the best environments to raise a family. The citizens are is friendly, humble, down-to earth and the population is completely diverse. There are many local up and coming businesses in the area that are opening. There is Gerritys Supermarket in the area that is a wonderful place to shop! Great prices and quality products. Very friendly and helpful employees. They are multiple restaurants downtown that is the solution in a pleasant nightlife experience. All of the essential businesses, such as the shopping centers are in close proximity to the neighborhoods and the surrounding Scranton area.

Scranton has an excellent commute to cities such as Wilkes Barre, New York City, Philadelphia with it's own historic accoutrements. Its a city at its finest with five star restaurants. Check out the great art galleries and historic attractions throughout Scranton!
Scranton is a beautiful city full of history and archives. I am from a small town called Flanders in New Jersey and have never lived in a really big city before. A great thing about Scranton is that you get the city feel, yet it still feels like old times. There are beautiful ski resorts, parks, history, and gems and the food scene here is amazing as well!
