Scottsburg Reviews
Rating 3.26 out of 5 27 reviews
Scottsburg has a wonderful community! Everyone knows each other; anywhere you go, everyone welcomes you. This small community is very warming and offers many opportunities- for the size of the county. Many of the schools are apple verified and receive scores of A's or above. Many students who attend these schools are very high achieving and accomplish great things, later in life. However, there are many health issues; such as the HIV epidemic. Scott County may not be the best in health ratings and teen pregnancy; however, the overall experience is grand.
Very small town, but lots of character. Teachers in public schools are mostly engaged and care about their students, and there are lots of places for high school students to have job opportunities while also participating in extracurricular activities. Students are very close knit due to small school size, which means that everyone in town knows everyone else. City leaders try their best to make the city of Scottsburg as best as it can be.
I love the square in Scottsburg. All the buildings are historic and I love to see new businesses utilizing them. I would love to see more sit down restaurants in town to bring more of a "at home" type feel when you are in Scottsburg. There are way too many pizza and fast-food places.
