Scottsboro Reviews

I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but Scottsboro has always ben my home. Scottsboro is the perfect blend between a city and a town. It has enough people to occasionally meet new people, and it has the small town feel that makes the residents feel at home. The schools are safe and provide high tier education, and the teachers are phenomenal. There is not one thing I would change about Scottsboro, Alabama.
A very small town with minimal things to do, especially for the kids and high schoolers. This town is known as a "retirement town", so many people who move here plan to stay here after they retire. It's a pretty safe place and you can walk as freely as you please. I live near the "downtown" area of the town, called the square, so my friends and I used to walk to get ice cream at a local '50s themed restaurant called Paynes. It's not a bad place to visit and be sure to stop by Unclaimed Baggage for some deals if you happen to pop in.
We moved to Scottsboro 15 years ago. We have seen this town go through some changes. Would like to see organization or business that will be available for children, teens for any type of recreational activities instead of going 45 miles west or east of the county. The same applies to diverse restaurants as for a small town, we have 5-6 Mexican restaurants. We need to try to keep the income that this will generate here locally.
