I lived in Scottsbluff for thirty long years of my life. If you're a person of color, you're better off sparing your loved ones this whole narrow-minded community experience. The police are corrupt and swarm minority neighborhoods like parasites. The schools are shamelessly segregated. There is very little economic opportunity, but plenty of drugs and crime to make daily life an interesting ordeal. Do yourself a favor, stay away from "Right to Work" sh*tholes like these and look a couple of hours away in places like Fort Collins, CO or the metro Denver metro area. You'll thank me later for the advice.

Growing up in Scottsbluff was a good experience. It's a pretty safe town with some fun activities for families including a small water park, a zoo, parks, and fun local restaurants and cafes. As an adult, I would love to see more eco-friendly measures being taken by the city, some healthier eating options, and a better night life. As it is, a local brewery recently opened, and I highly recommend it!
Scottsbluff is an amazing community to raise children in, the school systems are amazing and the programs offered are hands down some of the best. It has such a great small town vibe that really encourages community.
