Scituate is a great small town! It has a bustling community, particularly during the summer months. The town center, Front Street, is located right on the harbor with plenty of shops and restaurants providing great night life. Community members tend to be very involved with the town, whether making speeches at town meetings or competing to be the next "Mayor of Scituate" in a fund-raising event for the town parade. The town is very safe. It is a little off the beaten path, far from major highways which can make commuting to work in Boston difficult, though not impossible.

Scituate is a beautiful town, location wise but is very removed from the hardships of other people. We are a predominately White town, with most people being of the upper middle class. We have a very good education system and are near Boston hospitals, which are considered some of the best health care in the united states. We don't lack food security and there are plenty of opportunities for employment, considering our location to Boston.
Scituate has great schools, many cute, small boutiques, and many beautiful beaches. Being able to drive 10 minutes at the most to a beach is a huge advantage and usually other towns around are very jealous of the beach access. The weather is beautiful as we experience all four seasons differently, except the winter can sometimes be harsh. Scituate usually gets hit pretty hard by blizzards and nor'easters, but the hot summers and temperate falls and springs make up for it! Overall a great town!
