I like the suburban vibe. There is plenty of greenery and parks to play and take a stroll in. There are stores and shopping centers in close vicinity, which is great. However, you do not get the true community aspect living relatively far away from each other as you would get in a city. Yet, I think there is more community in the suburbs because in the city, you don't tend to try to get to know all the strangers around you. Butin Schwenksville, you know everyone in your neighborhood and schools. It is a great place to live, as you have privacy and a great community!
I have lived in Schwenksville my whole life. It is a really small suburb but it's easily connected to many larger ones. It is down the street from many fantastic stores, and it has a few really nice local restaurants. It is a really safe neighborhood and I have loved living there my whole life. There is a trail right next to it and it is a really nice small town right next to so many things that are a short car ride away.
I have grown up here, I went to Perkiomen Valley. It really is a great school. When I was struggling with mental illness, they were there to help and make every accommodation possible. I was involved in sports which were great, it is a safe school. There were problems with bullying as there are everywhere, and some teachers just turned the other way which was terrible. This is a safe area with low crime, there is not a ton to do, but there are some shopping plazas, King of Prussia mall is only 30 minutes away, the outlets are 20, philadelphia is about an hour. It is a good location.
