Schaumburg is considered a mini Chicago. It has everything you can think of and more. If you want it, Schaumburg has it! One huge downside of living in Schaumburg is that it is super expensive to live in and has very high tax rates.
There are a lot of excellent restaurants, stores, and historic places in Schaumburg. If you need something, you can definitely find it in Schaumburg.
The schools in the Schaumburg district is very good. Students are hardworking and it is very diverse.
It's a busy area populated with a lot of people and things to do. People who live around here can be kind of rude though and in their own heads. Despite that all in all not a bad place to live or grow up.
I have lived in Schaumburg for the last 5 years and my experience has been wonderful. one of the best suburban towns in Illinois
Schaumburg is a nice family-friendly suburb of Chicago with two great school districts, district 211 and district 54. The drive is about 45 minutes to an hour away to the city (during good traffic conditions) and there is a train station as well. The nightlife is not amazing here, but since it is so close to the city, there are plenty of other places to explore downtown. Schaumburg is not the most affordable suburb in the Chicago area, but because of Woodfield Mall, the taxes aren't as high as some of the neighboring towns. There are plenty of places to get food, coffee, and do some shopping. The town also holds Septemberfest every year, a three day festival with a craft fair, local restaurant tent, a carnival, concerts, and fireworks. Overall, Schaumburg is a nice sized suburb that has much to offer for its residents.
We are a pretty diverse suburb. Lots of great food, interesting people and town amenities . My kids have great schools and there is lots of affordable shopping options. We have a great park system with plenty for families to do.
I have lived in Schaumburg my whole life (currently 17 years old) and I have nothing negative to say about this place. I have never felt unsafe, my education is very good, there’s so much access to anything you may need (grocery stores, clothing/shoes, home department stores...) AND Chicago is about 45 minutes away which I wish was closer, but I can’t complain. Most everyone is friendly and nice! This is a perfect place to raise a family if you’re looking for a safe, stable environment.
It's a really nice place to grow up in and has a lot of opportunities and places (Woodfield Mall, AMC, many restaurants, good schools)
Outside of Chicago, Schaumburg has upped its food game. There are amazing eats here and I have never had to say "There's nothing to eat!" There is so much diversity and many programs available for residents.
Living in Schaumburg offers residents an urban suburban mix feel and most residents own their homes. cost of living is high which is the only disadvantage but otherwise schaumburg has all the amenities. Schaumburg ranked as best place to live in Illinois by Money magazine
Schaumburg is a very safe, family friendly community with great schools and neighborhoods. The quality of education is high.
I moved from Chicago to Schaumburg when I was young and still live here today. Schaumburg is the best place to raise a family or retire to. There’s many restaurants everywhere you drive, whether they are small businesses to larger one we have it all. We moved here for the safety and Schaumburg is filled with families or young adults so there is not much crime here. Our township takes care of snow, landscaping, and garbage. I’ve never seen Schaumburg dirty and when it snows the trucks are out shoveling right when it starts. This helps with kids going to the many great schools we have around. Some may say Schaumburg is expensive, but there are always places for rent. My family aren’t well off but we found our first apartment for $900 a month and this helped us grow our money and move into a better house. Woodfield mall is place for many opportunities whether they are jobs or clothing.
I love Schaumburg. A lot to do, highways easily accessible, great day and night life. Close to downtown.
As a former resident of Schaumburg, I developed a missing and longing for living there. It was a very nice neighborhood, in which I met many great people. Everyone was very kind and dangerous acts were uncommon. Actually, it never happened when I lived there.
Schaumburg is a very friendly suburbs to live with family. There are many restaurants to share a diner with family and friends and few bars as well. The mall is great and have a multitude of shop you could think of. I personally have been leaving in Schaumburg for 4 years now with my family. We are all very happy so far. We got use to the city very fast by meeting friendly neighbors and friends. In addition, finiding a residence in this suburbs is not complicated and prices are correct. There are different types of houses and prices. Therefore, if you wish to find quickly a house Schaumburg is good town. Also, it is very easy to find work. I personally find a job in about a week. I loved it and worked with the company for many years. Job opportunity is wild and you can find all kind of work.
I love how close it is to Chicago but also it is not busy. It has traffic but it's not like you see one car on the road either. People are normally friendly
