I love the “small town feel” the villainess of Savoy offers, even though it’s basically part of Champaign-Urbana. Everything I need is within walking distance these days, whereas in past years it was pretty desolate. The growth in this community has positively impacted Savoy, which today has nearby grocery stores, doctors offices, gas stations, restaurants, higher-end liquor stores/wine shops, the movie theatre (which was pretty much all that was out here before) and retail shops. Bonus: safe neighborhood and a nice park!
Only real con: only one bus runs out this way, so if you’re without a car it’s harder to go into downtown Champaign.

I love Savoy! All of my neighbors are respectful and friendly. The neighborhood is very kid friendly and the bike path and parks are great for activities.
It is not a small town with a population of over 50, 000 and it serves as a central location connecting the cities or Urbana and Champaign.
