Great town in florida. Feels like an island in the middle of the gulf side of florida. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else
A beautiful small city with a safe environment, nearby the best beaches in the United States! Lived here since 2012 and loving it since.
The thing I love about Sarasota the most is all the culture the city has. Sarasota is a very beautiful, artsy, safe, and thriving city. Their are so many new things that are being built in Sarasota which include the the bay front redevelopment project, the quay development which will bring many more exciting restaurants and shops to the area, the Selby botanical gardens redevelopment, the siesta key promenade, and the east district at the Utc mall which will bring even more entertainment options to the area. The best thing about Sarasota is all of the local beaches such as the #1 best beach in America siesta key. Lido key and longboat key are other world class beaches in the area. Another thing I love about Sarasota is that it is relatively close to major cities such as Tampa (1 hour away) and Orlando ( 2 hours and 20 minutes away). Even Disney is close, only about 1 hour and 45 minutes away. All in all, I believe Sarasota is the best city in Florida to live in.
Sarasota is a very diverse and multi-cultural town. I enjoy being able to immerse myself in this town and really immerse myself in the art.
Great restaurants and downtown. Many activities to participate in and the beach is a very short drive to.
What is there not to like about Sarasota? Everyone comes back sooner or later. It's great to raise a family, so many good restaurants, plenty of parks and the beaches are amazing. Just missing are mountains.
Plan to retire here and get out lawless high tax ultraliberal Westchester County New York. Town of Eastchester. Big difference here in Florida with great people, elected officials and police departments. Very hospitable to military veterans.
I love living in Sarasota, Florida, because of all the fun family stuff to do and see. The beaches are only 15 minutes away. There are plenty of dog parks and kids parks to go to and enjoy.
Sarasota, Florida is a unique beach town with a whole lot to offer. It is home to the country's previously #1 beach and the #1 high school in the state. There are many family-friendly areas including state parks, playgrounds, aquariums, and many outdoor spaces to enjoy the sunshine state's notable weather.
Sarasota is a great place to grow up in. Not only are you minutes from the beach but it is a place for all ages. From young families to senior citizens, Sarasota has a special place for each age, race, or gender. The food is magnificent and the scenery is astounding. Thousands of tourists come to Sarasota each year wanting to come back again or even better yet, move here themselves. There is always a positive reaction when Sarasota is seen fort he first time.
I really like Sarasota's variety of enviroments, from suburbs, downtown, to a beach village. I think it is a very involved and active community and love living here!
Sarasota is a relatively small town in Florida. However, it is growing. With lots of condos and housing construction around the area, more and more people continue to move here. A growing night life scene is an amazing feature for young couples and singles alike. The laid back beaches and attractions are a big hit with retired couples and singles as well. This city really does have something for all demographics.
I have lived here for almost 12 years and I could not be happier with where I live. Being born in the north, I can confidently say that Sarasota is a much more enjoyable place to live. Sarasota has many activities and attractions to see. It is about 20 minutes from the countries number one beach, Siesta Key. Overall, Sarasota is one of the best places to live.
Sarasota is family friendly and respectful. I would recommend this county to anyone who wants to live in paradise
I love Sarasota. It's a beautiful city. Siesta Key is a one of a kind beach, which has been rated best in America. Despite being a small city, there is a lot to do in Sarasota. Sarasota is a very artistic city, with high quality theaters, a ballet, and an opera house. However, if interested in nightlife, another city with a younger populace may be more suitable. Sarasota is a great city that many choose to retire to. I would hate to leave it! A flaw could be due to the local economy depending on tourism, the off season (which is the summer, due to "snow birds" going back home) or in times of natural disaster, the economy can dwindle.
Sarasota is an awesome town! The beaches are breathtaking and offer a surplus of fishing with unlimited sunshine in the Sunshine State! Locals in this area are always friendly and welcoming. Sarasota offers fabulous restaurants with a delectable variety of all cuisines!
It is busy. For someone who comes from Boston expecting a change from the normal hustle and bussel, I was wrong. Certain areas of Sarasota are always busy. Its great if you are young and want to make money because restaurants are always full and there is opportunity to make money. Plus it is beautiful. Need better litter management. Some places because of tourism have become really trashy. I guess people feel as though because they do not live here they can throw trash everywhere.
