It is a quaint town with lots of character. There's certainly no shortage of activities or things to get involved in. Multiple local breweries, great music scene at both the Waterhole and Delta Blue. Outdoor concerts all summer long. Great farmers market in Saranac Lake on Saturday mornings. There's a young professionals group for networking. The arts scene is top notch and makerspaces/workshops are always offering classes. Plus you are so close to the High Peaks!
Saranac Lake is a beautiful place to live with a small town feel to it. Everyone is so caring and friendly.
SL has the most amazing hospital and medical staff I have ever met and I was so comfortable delivering my baby there.
The only thing I would change about Saranac Lake is the housing. When you look for a place to rent, there is mostly apartments and houses are very rare. Otherwise, amazing.
