Sanibel Reviews

Working in Sanibel gave me more insight into how hurricanes affect the people. Much of the island was ruined but everyone is united together with the same goal in mind, to restore the island back to beauty. Experiencing the grit and determination of the people motivates me to work better. A change I would like to see in Sanibel is more Latino representation. Many of the workers going to Sanibel are Latino and I believe something should be said about it.
Maybe I am biased because I've lived here my whole life, but I am truly in love with my island. Not only are we completely welcoming to tourists, but for anyone looking for a beautiful, close community to settle down in, I 100% suggest Sanibel. Our beaches our magical, our crime rates are ridiculously low ( we joke that our police officers are bored because they have nothing to do) and our nature is not comparable in beauty. For new families or those looking to find a forever home, just come to Sanibel!
This small beach town is best known for its beaches, where visitors can go shelling during the winter months. Since it is a smaller area, there are mostly resident owned shops and hotels. It does take a while to get there as you can only get here though the causeway.
