Maybe I am biased because I've lived here my whole life, but I am truly in love with my island. Not only are we completely welcoming to tourists, but for anyone looking for a beautiful, close community to settle down in, I 100% suggest Sanibel. Our beaches our magical, our crime rates are ridiculously low ( we joke that our police officers are bored because they have nothing to do) and our nature is not comparable in beauty. For new families or those looking to find a forever home, just come to Sanibel!

This was truly one of the my favorite places I have ever been to. The beaches were absolutely amazing and best of all was there were not many people in the area I was at. The beaches were not crowded by any means, sometimes it was just myself and my family who were there. The sunset was the most spectacular thing to see setting over the water. The food in Sanibel was even better. Ever restaurant served fresh fish daily. Can not wait until I can go back, and hopefully stay longer!
We have visited Sanibel twice, and have no desire to go anywhere else. It is wonderful. A couple of things before you arrive on island, make sure you shop in Ft Meyers at Publix first before you arrive. Buy all staples for the week if you plan on cooking at the condo. The store in Sanibel is well stocked but expensive. It will save your money for other things like dining out and souvenirs. The beaches are amazing, and there is a sandbar where the kids can go out and it never gets deeper than waist high for them which is wonderful. We like to go in the AM and collect shells, as it seems when the tide comes in and then goes out there are more varieties. I would recommend Sanibel to anyone with a family. Perfect place for sun and fun. The restaurants are amazing and we love the lighthouse restaurant
