Sand Springs is a pretty average town. It's very close to Tulsa and the schools aren't too bad. Crime, or at least violent crime, is nearly non-existent. The houses are all fairly cheap. The restaurants aren't the greatest, but as previously stated, Tulsa is very close - it's 10 minutes away. Even if Sand Springs doesn't have something, odds are that Tulsa does. Overall, Sand Springs is a nice place. It's better than living in Tulsa itself, and it's much more affordable than the other Tulsa suburbs like Jenks, Broken Arrow, and Owasso. Furthermore, the town is much more laid back and the schools are much smaller, making bullying far less common.

I have grown up here my whole life and honestly can't envision living anywhere else. Sand Springs has that perfect mixture of small town feel while still having the pleasures and fun of a larger community. Only 10 minutes from almost anywhere in Tulsa it offers plenty of options for fun, but the people in Sand Springs are really what set it apart from other communities. An example of this is in the past five years we have dealt with a tornado and currently severe flooding, while not getting much help from other than each other we are handling the flood and displacement or residents, as well as had the tornado damage cleaned up within a week and rebuilding. I love Sand Springs and hope to live here my whole life.
I love Sand Springs! It is close enough to Tulsa that you can be in the city in 10 minutes, but it also has that small town feeling. They have many parades and festivals throughout the year to attend. This community is very good for families with small children and/or elderly. There are many activities for retired or elderly citizens like Bingo nights, quilting groups, and golf clubs.
