My experience with San Juan has brought a series of opinions. The public education system is capsizing. San Juan holds the largest number of public schools. Political corruption has lead for education reform to be last. Few schools function with twenty first century trends. One of the few schools that matches trends is Visual Arts Central High with programs in arts, STEM, and humanities. Nightlife in San Juan is average. Bars and clubs are just variations of each other with different fees. Quality real estate in San Juan is becoming more accesible to the wealthy. Construction of high class condos raises rent in average areas. Everyone drives a personal vehicle.Traffic is heavy with lack of a successful public transportation system. Crime is heavy due to an underfunded police force. The few family parks are the only family friendly areas.

I have lived in San Juan for many years and it has everything you may need! Schools (both public and private), great tourism, a huge medical center, restaurants, shopping malls, government central offices - you name it! I’ve been born and raised in this city and have loved every second of it because everything is so close and accesible.
Puerto Rico lacks of job opportunities for young people. To prove myself I will like you to Watch the local news and show WAPA TV , Telemundo. You always gonna see the same people over and over again. Puerto Rico needs more responsible drivers people, here drive like crazy!!! Also there are not enough police officers for the island. The water quality is like crap the water sometimes come out color brown. The electricity comes and goes so I wouldn't be surprise if my TV and my electronic devices sop working. Everyone has to know that the real face of Puerto Rico is NOT El Viejo San Juan, Guaynabo, Condado or Isla Verde. The Real face of Puerto Rico is RIO PIEDRAS, San Juan with the streets that smell like urine, homeless everywhere, abandoned locals that used to be stores. Public Transportation is the worst thing PR has after the Government and the bad administrations. So who am I to say this? I am a person who has lived in Puerto Rico since born.
