Unique, historic, friendly. Variety of restaurant choices. Diversity. It's charm is that it represents a reality of life. Other OC areas can look all the same - same houses, same parks, same little shopping areas, same tract homes..... So if you like a real town, with real people and charm -- this place is awesome! Great location just a few miles from the beach - near the 5, PCH, and also the 73 tollway. Several excellent private schools in the area as well.

I love the area. There are beaches nearby the closest one being a 10 minute drive. There are also many tourist attraction. You can choose from Mission San Juan Capistrano, the Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano , ZOOMARS (a small zoo) and much more. There are ethnic restaurants all around that are worth going into and trying it yourself. Although the events here are good there is homelessness in some areas but not an unbearably amount. You might see someone homeless every few miles. Overall there is little traffic, green areas, and places that are accessible for everyone to go for a walk.
I really like how San Juan still keeps it’s historic buildings up to par. There are many shopping centers around to look at with many specifically trying to emulate Swallow’s Day which is a day my town takes great pride in every year. Although my neighborhood is getting better every year, I still would like to see improvements for neighborhood parking. It gets tough to find a parking spot coming back home from a late work shift and have to park miles away due to limited parking.
