San Jacinto is a town, that only has one high school, which is public and lets anybody in. All the others are either private or require specific requirements to get in. Such as SJLA and Mountain View. So the San Jacinto High School is extremely overcrowded. Having nearly 3000 students on a relatively small campus everything is overcrowded from the halls to the classes. The classes usually have 20 people at most about 35 on average and around 40-45 at the most. So it creates an environment where you are always around someone and it's always crowded. Not to mention that there is a serious crime problem here. It seems like every day you hear about someone being shot or killed in San Jacinto. Personally, it happened close to my house. About a month ago someone was murdered just a block away from my house. Almost a year ago I heard an explosion while walking, and when I investigated to find out what it was. It turned out to be a crack house exploding.
If I will know about San Jacinto earlier, I will move here right away! I love this place: schools, many stores, restaurants, casino etc. We have everything here! And we just between LA and SD!
Living in San Jacinto for the majority of my life has shown me the benefits and disadvantages to a more secluded area of California. First, I would like to say that overall I have enjoyed my time living in San Jacinto but, there have been moments when the area seemed a little dull and lackluster. There are not many major entertainment centers aside from the movie theater, dining, and subpar local mall. When you explore this small town do not expect to see any large buildings, culture influenced venues, or big brand shops. That is just not the type of place that San Jacinto is. However you can expect to see many basic essential places like a Walmart, Auto Zone, Home Depot and etc. By no means will this town feel like a third world country but it will not be very exciting either. If you enjoy a comfortable area with somewhat quiet living and the basic necessities, then you will like San Jacinto.
