I work at a hotel in Salisbury, CT and I love the people in town! It is a quaint New England town, everyone is very friendly and helpful. There are always plenty of stories and memories in its wonderful country living. Salisbury dates back to 275 years ago with many of the same buildings still standing. Although the area is not designed for young people, it is a great place to raise a family and spend a getaway weekend here. Fall time is absolutely picturesque, if looking to find peace and quiet this is the place to go. They might not have much of a nightlife but beautiful nature walks, boating, hiking, and biking are a hit. I would absolutely suggest this town for anyone looking to get away from the noise.
Lovely, rural area with great restaurants and nearby prep schools. Beautiful summers and fall seasons. Winter can be harsh.
Very few chains, whether retail or food. Most things are easily accessible, though it may require a short drive to get to them.
