Sadly, another "small town in rural America" that is so far buried into its fanaticism about Abortion, Gay Rights, and the place of women overall in society and business, that although the quiet setting is nice, it is not for anyone that has more than a high school education and a cultured background. The jobs pay horribly at minimum wage and the people are tribal and flat-out vengeful. The cost of housing could be cheaper considering the lamentable condition of the buildings and the methed-out neighbors one must tolerate.

Salina, business and real estate-wise, is a continuously growing community! Within the past 5 years great restaurant food chains have made their way to Salina including: Olivia Garden, Five Guys, and Chick-fil-a. A brand new Planet Fitness was built last year in a Central Park of town. Downtown Salina has great food options for individuals and families. Although it might not be a big city, Salina is definitely growing.
I enjoy Salina because it is very family friendly! We have some wonderful parks and enjoy the outdoors. I like the variety of restaurants and the fun summer events. I also enjoy spending our summers at Kenwood Cove Waterpark. The people of Salina are very kind and caring. Getting connected in this community leads to many other events year-round. I have enjoyed my time in salina and would recommend this town for anyone no matter what stage in life they are in.
