Salina Reviews
Rating 3.5 out of 5 121 reviews
A good medium-sized town to live in. Not a lot of things to do besides bowling, eating out and chilling with friends. On the bright side, you get to be creative with your time! There are also a lot of crazy drivers, however that is kind of a given everywhere.
Salina has a few attractions, but it is a poor city. Be careful traveling or staying in Salina, while there are good police officers, there are also rogue police who will not hesitate to harass and violate civil rights. They are under the protection of the city. It is said about Salina "come on vacation, leave on probation". Despite the poverty and city corruption, the average people here are friendly and helpful.
I love Salina - the only thing that would make it better is if my family were here! There are lots of options for food and entertainment. Growing up in a town of 20,000 people, Salina is an upgrade. If we want to get out of town, neighboring cities aren't too terribly far away.
Salina has lots of different options for entertainment as well - there is The Alley, The District, Sky, a movie theater, lots of parks, and plenty of places to shop, and quite a few other small businesses. The mall is losing stores, but that's malls across the country, not just our area!
I've never felt unsafe here either - it has problems like any other town, but I feel like overall Salina is a very safe place to raise a family.
